If we do so then we would need to travel back to the same point in time. Therefore we would be retain the same knowledge and have minimum impact on the timeline.

That would mean secretly recording the missing episodes & bringing them back to the current day rather than trying to stop the junkings which would change the timeline. I’ll volunteer if my good lady can come too. I’ll need a good supply of counterfeit 60’s sterling, (enough to live there six years, rent or buy somewhere & buy a decent TV), a very large quantity of decent quality E180 VHS tapes and the aforementioned piano key VHS recorder with VHF band 1 & 3 VHF tuners and a VHF modulator, so that I could check playback of the tapes on a 405 line set. I could then spend my time enjoying reliving 1963 to 1969 as an adult this time & recording as needed in between.

If you wanted me to record missing Colour Me Pop, Counterstrike & Out Of The Unknown for example, as well I would have to live somewhere with early BBC2 reception (unlike Carlisle where I was actually living at the time) & get a dual standard TV.

Any chance you could go back to 1961 and get the avengers season one?

Also staying up all night in 1969 to record the BBC's moon landing footage, this to me is still the most surprising junking.

Also staying up all night in 1969 to record the BBC's moon landing footage, this to me is still the most surprising junking. Would be happy to oblige with that too, perhaps I should take some larger VHS tapes. E-240’s? It would be interesting as I only saw the early evening stuff first time around & my Dad got me up in the middle of the night to watch the landing itself. Recording the Pink Floyd bit would be very important. Was the studio BBC2 footage originally in colour? If anyone wants the missing ITV coverage, I’ll have to take a second setup.

Recording the Pink Floyd bit would be very important. Did you see it at the time? I've still yet to find anyone who saw it. I'm curious to know if the Floyd were seen on screen or were they playing over a montage of space footage? (Although it wouldn't have been Apollo 11 footage I realise that, because they didn't have any yet.)

No, sadly not. Too young (6) & a major concession to be got up for the landing. I probably wouldn’t have appreciated it at the time but would love to have seen it”. Does anyone know if the Floyd “To the Moon” soundtrack exists. Paul V, was it on the unrecoverable reel to reel recording do you know?

It's an April Fools story. I should have thought about it! Here in Spain we celebrate holy innocents day instead.

Did any one see the recent Beatles video about how they produced their last single. There's an interesting little scene with Peter Jackson and his mal machine........now where are all those direct line tapes..... youtu.be/APJAQoSCwuA?si=igS8TGvKlQC1RgSV
