I've also got Episodes Four (A Night Out) and Ten (The Secret Agent) from Series Two, and Episode Eight (The Baby) from Series One sitting on my MP3 player at the moment.

just got round to listening to one of these shows after it sat on my pc for months. i must say i thought it was a great show, so very English. well done to everybody who has tracked these shows down or spent time restoring them. i hope the BBC will one day do them justice and put them out on c.d. I'm surprised they dont get more credit as they are shows that link with Dads Army

Hello to you all, Firstly a big thank you to Charlieboy for uploading the episodes I required. I have downloaded them all and will listen to them very shortly. Thanks for your offer Don it is much appreciated, Cricket Lovely Cricket is once again available, let me know if you have any problems. The first post I made on this group concerned returning episodes to the BBC. Some years ago I too had a negative response when I offered these twelve to them. I now think it is better if people like us look after them, if the BBC had taken them would they be available to download or just archived and unavailable? Judging by the response and interest, and the request made by Don, here are the twelve episodes I recorded. I have no idea if these are better or worse than what is already out there. I must apologise for the credit cut offs, but as a teenager at school tape was an expensive item, and you certainly didn’t waste it with bits that weren’t necessary! All are available at - 1_01 The Market Special - www.mediafire.com/?rgs2uwzboue1_02 The Postal Express - www.mediafire.com/?exzkjezebak1_03 The Beauty Queen Contest - www.mediafire.com/?0mzjmlqwmib1_04 The Inspector Calls - www.mediafire.com/?uwbi0mivzmh1_05 The 1890 Rocket - www.mediafire.com/?xytzsx1hnml1_06 The Excursion - www.mediafire.com/?zm3zym24mm91_07 Cricket Lovely Cricket - www.mediafire.com/?thtznjdmx2d1_08 Who’ll Be Mother - www.mediafire.com/?jdz1bezw9pk1_09 The Concert - www.mediafire.com/?mnmgm1bz02x1_10 Goodbye Parsley Sidings - www.mediafire.com/?3wacbszwtwl2_06 A Bird In The Hand - www.mediafire.com/?gezgdvtzf0h2_07 The Purity League - www.mediafire.com/?vkcmf2ezwohIf any better copies are discovered I hope they will be offered for download by the finders, we are so nearly there. Cheers, Marc. A big thankyou for sharing so generously

wow thanks for that, i now have the full set of 20. i didnt know for sure that they were all available. i shall look forward to listening to these when i get a chance. i see some of the files are marked BBC7 so im guessing you got these from the radio quite recently, does that mean the BBC now has a full set of these in the archive?

Thanks for that link Ian. I have downloaded some of them for my iPod even though i had most on cassette or DVD in the past. I note that the only one I can see missing from your list is The New Level Crossing. Over years of searching for this series I have come across two different versions of that episode, ie recorded by two different sources at different times. Both are really, really poor, almost unlistenable. I don't know how lightning struck twice. So it remains the elusive last episode I am searching for in good condition.

There is a semi-complete collection of Parsley Sidings episodes at www.archive.org/details/ParsleySidings, including all of the BBC Radio 7 broadcasts. Does anyone have a link they can share to a better copy of either "The Goods Train" or "The Flower Show"? Both of those are very muffled at the above source. Similarly, can anyone help with a link to the two episodes not included there: "The Film Makers" and "The New Level Crossing"?

Hi Thanks for sharing your missing Parsley sidings episodes Dogstar. Now ALL of season one is available in some form - unthinkable a few years ago. "The Film Makers" and "The New Level Crossing" seem to be the only missing season two episodes now, Come on folks, they must exist somewhere in this great wide wonderful world! I have a few BBC contacts, I will burn the whole lot to a CD & send them on with the suggestion to transmit them on BBC7 - they are mostly as good or better technical quality than some of the Likely lads & missing Hancocks that have been aired recently! Bob
