I've just finished watching the show timeshifted by an hour and loved it. My favourite bit at the end was to sum up Marc in three words. Nice touch. Thanks Mark.

I thought the closing three words from Steve Harley were quite touching simply saying...."i miss him".

This was more like it. Ten times better than that terrible ITV programme. A far more fitting tribute. I look forward to the DVD release.

Thanks guys, much appreciated - DVD out on Nov 5 or thereabouts.
Can't go into details about the ZDF/BBC/TOTP deal but suffice to say there was the movement of many spondolicks from me the ZDF - but I will be sending the master tape to the BBC of the missing material I used.
And now a brief break in transmission while I go away on hols for a week to somewhere so far away, I won't have a interweb connection thingy...

Hi why would the video tapes be disposed if they were Marcs personal possesions?
Are they complete episodes of top of the pops? What t rex songs were found?

Went to MARC BOLAN THE CELEBRATION @ Shepherd's Bush Empire last night. Marc's songs performed by other artists. The house band were T.Rextasy & artists/artistes included Marc Almond, Clem Burke, Ray Dorset, Shaky, Gloria, Andy Ellison, Howie Casey, Eric Hall, Dr. Robert, Linda Lewis & Tony Visconti. Concert recorded with eight cameras for DVD release. Spoke to Mark Tinker briefly about Friday night's documentary and "Teenage Dream". May Pang was there just behind us as was Marc's brother Harry and Marc Paytress among many.
A cracking evening.

Just watched last weeks' programme on my Sky+ -- bluddy great, the way a 'proper' programme should be made, none of these 'C' division celebrities giving us their inane thoughts! Well done!

If memory serves, these were both out-takes from "Beard of Stars" and were put on the "Best of" album to have pad it out as it was somewhat rushed out and there was no other new material...
As I say, if memory serves, so I'm willing to be proved wrong.

I always thought they were Unicorn outtakes; sounded to me like Steve Took on them. I will try and research this tomorrow.
