An interesting find. I have always wanted to see the entire 26th February 1970 edition of TOTP since that was the show where Tony Burrows was seen three times, in White Plains, Pickettywitch and of course Edison Lighthouse. Quite a unique feat! The same show also features the Dave Clark Five's "Everybody Get Together" which I've never seen in its proper form -0 it can easily be found as a collage with dubbed soundtrack and a colour promo from 2 or 3 years later which always annoys me and then there's the Steve and Albert performance of "Follow The Bouncing Ball". Have only seen the short clip used in the John Peel hosted "Rock Bottom" and it is comical. I do have the original record and what stupid lyrics... would love to see that in full!

Re: The Pans People "Mony Mony" clip. Wouldn't that have been 1968? Unfortunately, the timecode on the clip indicates that the performance is from the existing 26 Feb 1970 edition, in which case it looks like the sound has dubbed over another track. I'm sure someone out there knows which one it is.

Blimey! Thanks for these. As always these raise many questions. This latest batch all of Pans People and the audience look in great quality. However note the poster says the copyright belongs to the BBC. I'm beginning to wonder if these clips do actually exist at the BBC. When Keith Badman did a piece on the first colour edition years ago in Record Collector magazine (it was a sporadic series where he'd look at individual editions) he claimed that though that show was lost there existed "some" colour material from the earliest colour shows at the BBC. There were no details as to what this material was. MAYBE all this footage is the material he was referring to? Maybe I'm totally wrong. Either way its fascinating to see all this stuff. And heres another one from the same person... I think Benny Hill probably enjoyed this one! www.youtube.com/watch?v=DT_7ydHTVGs&NR=1I haven't seen some of the clips above myself (the clips from one posting have all been deleted already so i've taken the posting off) but there are quite a few clips residing at the BBC which haven't surfaced and so people may not know of them existing (e.g. Wedding Bell Blues danced to by Pan's People from 1970). Some have been only catalogued partially or are part of the Bob Pratt collection etc. I expect all these will be indexed and added to Infax in due course though.

Talking of Pans People - if anyone caught the Stuart Maconie Vote the Best decade for music thing on BBC4 last night, they showed an alternate take of them dancing to 'Get Down' (Gilbert O Sullivan)
The yellow dog legged it rather than the reddish one & the girls laughed. Must be an out-take!

Great Slade footage Gary, Many thanks for posting, enjoyed seeing it as I am a Slade fan as well, as for Slade's Shape of things to come video from TOTP of the 2nd April, 1970, I wish I knew. I am still hoping someone can raise enough dosh to afford that private video library which has been available and known about for years, has a copy of the 500th edition in it ! Surely there would be sales potential there, at least you might think so anyway. Found a neat back issue of a UK electronics magazine entitled CQ-TV. There is a very interesting article, with some rare photos devoted to Juke Box Jury, have a look ( Is a PDF, document just to let you know): hamradio.lakki.iki.fi/new/Magazines/CQTV/cq-tv194.pdfThere is a off air photo of David Jacobs in 1962 it states, where did that screen grab originate from I wonder, anyone have any ideas, interesting to see though. I remember something a while back with a photo of the Doctor Who episode 4 of The Wheel In Space being demonstrated in a 8mm enthusiasts magazine, then it all went silent, no word since, anyone remember that by chance ? Sorry to go off topic here, just thought it applied to the material at hand. I have a few new clips to post as well, enjoy some further music ! Juke box Jury w/ Steve Mcqueen and Ertha Kitt.
