Very pleased to see the John Kongos clip existing as I recall the TOTP performance of the song (although this one looks quite different visually). An underrated number. I think there's a colour clip of him doing Tokoloshe Man in an ITV show from '71, Alan (can't recall the title), although I haven't seen it myself as yet. This is good news Laurence a little while ago i didn't think there was any footage for his 2 hit singles that wasn't missing now it seems there's exsisting footage for both , i wonder what the ITV show is called.

I expect someone reading this will know! Like you, I thought John Kongos had been totally wiped out archivally so it's good to find out that I'm wrong.

It does indeed appear to be the same set as " 2G's & The Pop People ".

'Top Twenty Special' (a one off in 1971) was the precursor to '2G's and The Pop People' (1972) Paul, hence the similar sets.

This is one of the worst TV performances I’ve ever seen..... though no fault of the band. It’s Pink Floyd doing “Remember a Day” on French TV tx‘d 21st September 1968. The director is clueless as to who is singing, clearly expecting Roger or Dave to mime along, but of course it’s Rick on the keyboards (and we don’t even see a fleeting close up of him!) Roger bursts out laughing at one point. www.youtube.com/watch?v=-3e4dGYxLvcTo make up for that, here’s a performance of “Paintbox”, also on French TV, from February 1968 with plenty of Rick. www.youtube.com/watch?v=YhW9_lBsUo4

It's laughable! You'd have thought he'd have eventually got the message - but no!
