Let’s not forget how one of the better Tom Baker serials was ruined by a certain giant rat 🤣🤣. A few seconds of CGI would certainly fix that.

It comes down to big televisions, restored prints, and old BBC budgets. I suppose some things could be done to improve them, but I think that fundamentally, we have to live with it.

You are so right RD. I too have this problem, one of the down sides of having a large TV (86" in my case).

I recently purchased a 55" screen that shows up flaws on non-HD images!
