Thank you, William! Some ill-judged comments there, but I'm not sure if it's quite the notorious one that effectively ended their chart career in the UK. Great to see though! Hello again Peter, I'm hoping that this second interview is the one you are looking for ? it's from the NME and this time the date is the 31st October 1970

Hi William, It could be... I must admit I'm struggling to read it as it pixelates when enlarging it. Do you by any chance have it in higher reolution?

Thank you very much William, I can just about read that now (will look more closely later). Not sure if it's the actual "morons" article though?

Thanks Peter, Did they actually use the word (Morons) in the interview you are looking for ? According to all the articles about it over the years, yes... unless it's just one of those urban myths that develop over time?!

Would the article be sometime in 1970 Peter ? ... as unfortunately I have sold a lot of my Melody Makers from 1970

Good news Peter.. I have a full page feature on the band in Melody Maker which is headed with the quote "We'd get backstage and just kill ourselves laughing at the audience". It's quite an astonishing article; I can send you a scan if you want it.
