Couldn’t agree more. It really is a shame that more from the last 2 Chris Tarrant hosted seasons don’t survive. You can keep the last season as IMHO it just didn’t work without the old team. Fabulous anarchic program. I was there from the start in ATVLand. The last season had lost it's magic, the regulator had watered them down. Must have been great to have been there from the start!

This looks up my street except bloomin Mike, I'm not racist but, Read Not defending him but..He has had a good go in his later life trying to bring various forgotten stuff back into public interest, often loosing his shirt in the process. As a celeb He has also had to walk the press intrusion mile with various stories true or not.

For those of us “of a certain age”, the music that they played & the un-scripted way they did the shows was such a tonic when compared to the other mainstream stations available, perhaps unsurprisingly financially it was a disaster & sadly & I believe he lost his record collection in the process. But fair play to him for at least trying. Channel 4 didn’t help with their troubleshooter “Mockumentary” at the time.

Boom Radio does a great job of playing seldom heard music going back to the early 50s - David Hamilton's lunchtime show is a highlight. Some good archive TV theme programmes have been aired also.

Renown say "the feedback has been wonderful, with many of you doing your own ‘Footage Detective’ work. Tune in on Sundays at 12pm for more lost treasures".
Terrific!

"It’s been a busy month here at TPTV HQ. We have started filming a new season of The Cellar Club with the very lovely Caroline Munro and series 2 of The Footage Detectives with Noel and Mike. We’ve got some very special guests on the show, including Caroline, daughter of Raymond Francis; Patsy Wilson who played Sarah in The Barnstormers and Jonathan Kydd who brings in some rediscovered home movies from his dad, Sam Kydd's, loft for the Footage Detectives to explore. Series starts Sunday 12th." www.renownfilms.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/Renown-Nov-Dec-Newsletter2021-Spreads_compressed-1.pdf

I’m still uncertain as to how many were actually “lost” as they usually put “lost” in inverted commas and use it frequently.
To me something that’s in an archive, or securely stored isn’t “lost” although it may be difficult, if not impossible, to view.

I suppose if broadcasters/rights holders don't know where they are they consider t hem "Lost" as in losing a something but can find it again against it being destroyed and lost for ever.

Anyone know the name of the HJ show?

"Today 4pm! on THE FOOTAGE DETECTIVES with a special guest as #RaymondFrancis daughter Caroline will be talking about his life and career, as 3 more episodes are discovered of NO HIDING PLACE which is showing at 5pm."
Don't know if this means another three, or if they've been previously mentioned.
This is the synopsis:
"The Missing No Hiding Place Jigsaw! Cool Million, Thirty Seconds From Now and Third Party Risk. Help us sort the puzzles! Contact us if you have missing pieces!".
Is this a previously-shown Footage Detectives?
