Did tooth powder come in tines rather like show polish? I never used it but that image comes to minf, possibly through magazine of TV adverts. Yes, Eucryl came in tins. I belive there was some sort of a base, though not a nerve-centre, in Southampton. so I'll be giving FD a watch. Come to think of it British-American Tobacco were pretty big in Soton. too... Though I didn't smoke, I liked the taste of Eucryl. It's still being manufactured.

Yes agree. My mum used it but I liked it as well as a kid because of the taste.

I really wanted to enjoy this show - I have a lot of respect for TPTV and the work they’ve done to make old telly accessible, not to mention their recoveries, but the show itself is toe-curlingly bad. IMO, of course.

IMO, of course. I like the show Rob but i don't like Mike Read the Footage Detectives seems to be all about Mike Read he never shuts up poor Noel Cronin can't get a word in edgeways for him

(Non sequitur:) On the plus side Mike Read used to be - & probably still is - a good friend of Captain Sensible.
