Ii'm guessing William won't be pleased to know that there's a 2 hour + long feature documentary on the (still very much with us and 'Still Rockin' at 87!) Wee Willie Harris from just last year on Youtube! (Sorry about this William, but after infecting my Youtube suggestions with WWH content, this came up as a suggestion for me and I was stunned to see the old guy was still at it in the pubs well into his 9th decade and I just had to share. Fair play to him, it's impressive endurance.)

Has anybody any idea if there is footage of
Beau Brummell Esquire & His Noble Men
Martin Barre of Jethro Tull had a stint with them before he joined Tull in 1968.

Thanks Peter, shame someone has (again) overdubbed the original sound with the disc track. The Locomotive were fairly unusual weren't they, they started with ska type music and ended up in progressive rock LOL

Thanks to everyone who replied to my query. Cologne eh ... bang goes my theory ! Anyway, the website below mentions that Beau Brummel and the Noblemen played Cologne in Feb 1965 and 7-10th March 1966 garagehangover.com/tag/beau-brummell-esquire/

Cologne always brings to mind that Are You Being Served? duologue.
The thread's served to remind me to search out more info on obscure acts such as The Singing Postman and Don Patridge (the erstwhile one-man-band). Of course, I saw some of the artistes on TV back in the day.

With regard to the Cologne clip, I'm probably stating the obvious but that footage has clearly been slowed down drastically by someone to make a promo video out of what was originally a blink-and-you'll-miss-it clip. I don't know in what context the footage was used originally but it clearly wasn't for a promo video; if they wanted it to last for two minutes then they'd have just shot more of it rather than slowing something far shorter to a crawl instead. In case you're curious I actually sped it up to the correct speed as I couldn't find it anywhere else online at the right speed: youtu.be/Q91tJlCd-JIIt actually only lasts twenty seconds when played back properly.
