Well, you never know as they seem to like the famous monsters perhaps an animated Master Plan could be on the way! That one would arguably need both teams working on the same project for a year.

This is the exact same way we herd about The Faceless Ones and Fury from the Deep back in the fall of 2019. Heck I just checked and I I ordered the Fury Blue Ray on 2 November 2019 from Amazon UK and I had herd about the story being animated at least a few weeks before that.

We were also told The Wheel in Space was coming in 2018, it is understandable that we should be cautious because they have gotten things wrong in the past.

Absolutely. But I don't see it happening too soon. If it was a Troughton I get the feeling it'd be further up the roster.

I hope it's true although my 2nd choice after the animation of the Evil of the Daleks would've been the Wheel In Space My choice too.The cut down example of episode 1 on the Macra Terror animated release is absolutely brilliant! Let's hope that the original animation team can complete the story to the same high standard.

Which turned out to be a just short sequence done by an animator and shown at a Missing Believed Wiped event.

Still not 100% convinced that it wasn’t a shelved or abandoned project rather than a test or demonstration piece which IIRC was the official explanation.

I don't think there's any reason to disbelieve the official explanation. If the omnirumour has taught us anything it's that getting tied up in conspiracy theories is a damned good way to waste time and energy with no tangible result. Let's not do that with the animations too.

Wheel is an obvious candidate. It’s got two complete episodes and features a “big” monster. The short reconstruction of the start of Episode One shows what can be done.

Have you ever looked at wheels and noticed the distinct lack of wheels within them?

Have you ever looked at wheels and noticed the distinct lack of wheels within them? I've seen wheels in pairs on the backs of lorries. Speaking of the backs of lorries and Doctor Who... I always do a double-take over the thread-title, though I suppose the stories will be brought back to the spotlight, back to life, by being animated. I suppose we could say they're being re-imagined. Even if/when these stories are found complete, animated versions are still valid.
