Well if someone can find the audio for it we can have a nice tele-snap reconstruction of the event with the screenshots. Signed in just to thumbs up this one.

There isn't a video. It was a live Zoom event. There’s a “Record” function on Zoom. In this instance, only the moderator of the even can enable the Record - I know, I tried to and was blocked from doing so.

Would anyone give a summary of what had been said? All questions, from the host and audience, bar the very last, related exclusively to restoration work etc. The host asked the last question, which was about missing episodes. Amongst Paul Vs reply was this: 'There are definitely episodes out there with collectors.' That was in relation to Doctor Who episodes. So, Paul affirming what he has said previously, which was good to here.

Seems that Paul Vanezis was not inferring anything "by me", aka Peter Crocker, not Paul Vanezis.

Any updates on this? I fear we'll only get thise episodes back when they die, and that could be YEARS away, ullnless we convince them to teturn them.

The fact that nothing has been posted here for over 2 years tells you what you need to know. I know you're enthusiastic, but you don't need to keep digging up old threads.

Whenever I log into the Dr Who page and notice that four or five threads have all recently had the last post by the same member I fear the worst. But welcome to the forum Angel!

As I’ve always said BBC-affiliated film preservationists, pseudo plenipotentiaries et al should be busy buttering up the impending widows rather than their elderly film collecting husbands. It’s a sound if cynical strategy, especially considering that the former tend to casually throw out their partners’ ‘tat’ post death robbing the rest of us of often priceless, unique material in the process.

...buttering up the impending widowsThe mind boggles! …perhaps ‘making the acquaintances of the impending widows (in a purely professional capacity)…’ or similar would’ve sounded a little better in hindsight!

What we need is a crack team of young buff 20 something male Dr Who fans to wine, dine and sign on the dotted line these nonagenarian widows so the estates get funnelled back into fandom!

Considerably.

Just checking in on them and bringing cups of tea before the quick marriage and acquisition of all their late partner's collections I’m still wondering how pragmatically endorsing the maintaining of close, cordial terms with folk in possession of something we all want was misinterpreted as an advocation to commence the sort of ‘amorous liaisons’ with elderly women that would have the likes of Wayne Rooney keenly taking notes… Either the culprits have unwittingly revealed their own advanced ages… or something else rather more disturbing…
