www.lostshows.com/default.aspx?search=the+animalsAre The Animals the group with the most Missing Episodes appearances?, just look at the Lostshows link above and see just how many episodes of RSG!, Thank Your Lucky Stars, Top Of The Pops, The Beat Room and many many more shows... with so many, it increases the likelihood that footage and/or audio can perhaps be located? Can anyone think of any other Group that has so many Missing Episodes appearances as The Animals?

Try asking on pop music fan sites like the Radio Caroline Yahoo Group at RadioCarolineMailingList <RadioCarolineMailinglist@yahoogroups.com> Loads of footage on YouTube too. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_AnimalsSB

I suppose many a one hit wonder has had 100% of their appearances lost-not to mention (semi)-amateurs on shows such as Ready Steady Win!

True John, you cannot get any more lost performances than 100% but 100% lost is easy for a one hit wonder.
But in terms of most actual appearances lost of (non one hit wonders) who is it?

Doesn't one of the WGGOOTP (love it )performances exist? Sure I've seen a clip relatively recently, could be a case of "the memory cheats".

Richard, thank you for the great "Don't Bring Me Down" YouTube clip (excellent)
Mark, thank you for the extra 20 appearances (how I wish some of these performances can be found somewhere) especially the Eric Burdon and the animals ones.
I have a great book called Animal tracks by Sean Egan, I must re-read it to see if I can gleam any lost TV info from it.
Meanwhile, has any forum member got a book called (Good Times:The Ultimate Eric Burdon Audio-Videography 1963-1991) by Dionisio Castello who is an Italian Animals superfan. It's in English seemingly.

Saw the original line-up twice in 1983-84(?) in the US on the second reunion attempt, touring to support their album "The Ark." The second time I saw them was at an outdoor venue, with some supporting musicians, and they were great. Had the place jumping. But, the first show I saw, about thre months or so earlier, was just sublime. A small club (100 people tops), and just the original five guys. We were practically on-stage with them. Burdon was in great shape and all over the place. The band was tight and having a ball. They played for almost three hours and left the stage completely drenched. In my top five shows/events of all time.
