Some of it exists. I think half of the show was 'traditional' Scottish Hogmanay entertainment, and the rest was disco-infused. Hence the title....

Glaister
The first words in "The Gorbals Boy" were...
"It was a close shave I'd had that morning. So close I'd cut myself." so says Professor John Glaister (Russell Waters) dabbing cotton wool on his chin in the introduction to this episode.
"But 200 miles away at almost that very moment,another man was shaving, without soap...Just a rough old blade...and that was going to hang him."
That other man was Stanislav Moska, a displaced Polish farm worker,played by John Cairney.
