The Beatles footage likely hails from a 1964 edition of Round Up. Yes thats David Hayman playing Jimmy Boyle in A Sense of Freedom and the the clip from Taggart with Annette Crosbie is from the `Funeral Rites' episode. Other productons featured include Wheel of Fortune, Now You See It, Scotland Today, Weirs Way and Doctor Finlay.

That could be"The Flight of the Heron" Also Why does have to be a scottish actor? Glen michaeal and John toye are english, and both had long careasat STV. If it's Flight of the Heron? then my guess is that the man sweeping up a girl into his arms could be Ian McCulloch?

the following gives interesting background information about the origin of The Adventures Of Francie And Josie...even giving their surnames. it does give a definitive number of television episodes ..."1963 Stan Mars reworked six of the stage scripts, the show went to air and the rest is history. The following year there was a second series of thirteen and then a further thirteen. In all, Stan Mars wrote thirty two TV shows. I'll let you read the article to see what it says became of the episodes.. www.scottishmusichallsociety.webs.com/stagedoorarticles0708.htm

the following gives interesting background information about the origin of The Adventures Of Francie And Josie...even giving their surnames. Very interesting - it confirms my suspicions that UTV's run of Francie and Josie included repeats: there's 50 transmission slots for 32 episodes. The webpage might slightly inaccurate though - I am not certain that Francie and Josie ever topped the ratings in the UTV region. I don't recall seeing the series on any of the ratings lists I have seen but then again, I wasn't studying the non-UTV productions in much detail.

If however they were repeated that gives a very small chance though that utv had copies. Unless they were sent back to stv.

thanks William, for your excellent A Box At The Grand. In your previous article, it says A Box At The Grand, was old tyme music hall, similar I guess to The Good Old Days, where the audience was encouraged to react and participate. 23/4/65 the guest was Glen Daly. I have come across this, not sure if it is the audio from this episode or not? But towards the end, there is audience joining-in. www.youtube.com/watch?v=-yRXrWRQYO8Charlie Sim was the guest on several episodes, thanks to Mike for adding that other one. Larry Marshall was also involved. The following is a complete Comedy Sketch 'This Is Who's Life' from 1957. They must have this in the archive. It is a spoof on This Is Your Life, with Larry Marshall as the reluctant subject/victim who doesn't want to see or talk to the guests. The opening shot has Larry Marshall, with Charlie Sim and comedy actor John Grieve holding the 'big red book'. Not sure if this is from 1957, it may be from Number 18 in the List of 65, Happy As Larry 1959, or it could be from The Larry Marshall Show which wiki says is 1960s, if it is 1957, which show would it be from?, it's live television, comical, worth watching.. www.youtube.com/watch?v=uYnHB15Gwfo
