Number 53 on the list... Scottish Playbill"Depth"1966Bit of a mystery to start with,as according to the Scottish TV Times from 1966 the first 2 plays from 1966 differ from the plays mentioned in LOST SHOWS! please see below... 28/02/66 according to Lost Shows this was the date for a play called ( NOW) but according to the Scottish TV Times a play called (DEPTH) was TX'd that night!
UPDATE: Please see an explanation as to why in the post by Jim Doyle from 18/01/16
These are the details from the TV Times...P.S. I will try and remember to copy page 12 of this edition of the TV Times for the Synopsis of the play.

Can I throw some light on Scottish Playbill 1966. The play that was due to be transmitted on 28 February 1966 was "Depth", and I remember settling down to watch it at 8:00 - but there was an announcement saying that as the play's subject was to do with politics and elections, they could not show it now as earlier that day, Harold Wilson had called a General Election for March and TV were not allowed to show anything with a political bias that could influence voters, so instead they showed an episode of 'Gideon's Way' which I was more than happy with. I do remember seeing the play post - election I think in April. I do recall one great bit of dialogue near the end the wife of one of the candidates gets drunk and walks out of the house towards a TV crew waiting for an interview and her husband stops her. When the interviewer says to the candidate ' Do you have any message for our viewers' - the rattled candidate says 'Yes - tell them they can all get stuffed'. I also remember seeing "All In Good Faith" and caught the last 20 minutes of 'The Inward Lens' with Paul Young.

Thanks Jim, excellent post! now my post from the 2nd October 2015 makes sense, as I was wondering why "Lost Shows" stated a Scottish Playbill entitled "Now" was shown on the 28th Feb 1966 but the Scottish TV Times stated it was "Depth"
Now we know why the change of play was made. It;s also made me realise I still need to find the synopsis for the play "Depth"
Fantastic that you have remembered some of the hilarious dialogue when "Depth" was shown in April '66.
Do you remember any of the dialogue from "All in Good Faith" or "The Inward Lens"?

I have spent this evening reading through this entire thread so that what I post is relevant and not just rambling and dull. Some things I don't understand (What is the SSA?) and I checked out LostShows.com which I did not know about. I think I can contribute on a few programmes as I attended a few recordings, and I also attended the final of 'Song For Scotland' in 1968 and my English teacher Tom Walsh was the show's editor and it was nice to see a picture of him. He was the first of my old teachers I ever had a drink with and I was in touch with him through the 1970s. Hopefully I will be back tomorrow and add my recollections in a structured way in line with the way the shows have been laid out.
