Seeing as I don’t expect all 97 episodes to return, I’d want episodes from serials completely missing. Marco Polo, Mythmakers, Massacre, Savages, etc. It be nice to have an ep for every serial.

If I’m not mistaken, this means there are three rumors regarding episodes in collector’s hands?
1) Web of Fear 3. 2) The six as reported by Morris. 3) The two as reported by Paul, (one Australian one not).

My question now is if Region 1 will even get it. Since we were passed over for the Enemy SE. I can't see it being skipped in NA, with the new animation and being on HD. The Enemy SE had neither. I still wanted it though! 😢. My favorite Troughton.

When I brought this up on Facebook, Phil responded to say the animation was a business decision and had no bearing on the loss or recovery.

Eh. I figured by now he’d have someone helping him identify.

Daleks ep7 went for 47£ I think.
I’m weary of this set.

Could the show have done something with Doctor Who back in the 60s?

There was a Behind The News in 2013 with Doctor Who material. I don’t know if that is what this listing is for...

Nice find.
Wondering if this one was known by the episode hunters. Sometimes they already know about random rare things like this.

If something were to happen to Paul, those episodes would be the last thing on my mind.
Rest assured though. I’m sure he keeps himself safe.
He only skydives twice a week, swims with sharks every weekend, and drag races on the highway three times a month, maximum.
And for those worried about the episodes: He takes them with him each adventure to ensure they stay safe. No unforeseen mishaps happening on his watch!

All though I found the choice to reanimate Power a second time to be odd, I’m not against it. The immersion into a missing story is tough when the original doesn’t exist, and telesnap remakes are like poison to some people. Animations are an alternative, but I feel like animations were getting it “wrong” at the start. Too much emphasis on getting it to be as close to the original when the original was good because it wasn’t animation. It was filmed studio and there is a unique magic with that which isn’t reproducible. Animation is better when it’s able to play to its strengths and the recent ones we’ve got realize that.
Power I feel was the start of that, but it was obviously rushed in some spots. And since then there have been improvements in the creative decisions. Loose Cannon gave us better reconstructions when they knew they had a better way to represent their medium. This is the same. The animators are still here and are willing and wanting to provide a 2.0 that will better represent the medium they’re mastering.

I forgot about the Randolph Tapes. I hope they come into play if better than the previous audio used.
Is there anything you could provide Paul on the front?

This is odd. While I believe Power Animation does need some improvements... (I consider Macra and Faceless better) ....i would’ve hoped for something else the budget be allocated to.
I would’ve only expected this if we had gotten an episode of Power back. But we aren’t?
Weird.

When Paul made his reveal it had a lot of credibility for me. Largely because Paul has always been one to be cautious with matters like this. His usual answers is that he wouldn’t say anything to jeopardize any process. My thought is that it means he knows those two episodes are in a position to be safe regardless of what ever someone says on the Internet... and that there must be some sort of benefit for letting fans know early that they exist in private hands. Or at the least there would be no detriment.

Poster over on Gallifrey Base indicates that the Faceless Ones DVD will have three options for viewing. 16:9 Animated in Color (All 6 Episodes), 16:9 Animated in Black & White (All 6 Episodes), or 4:3 where it slips in the existing episodes.
I'm curious to know if any additional Restoration work has been done on the two existing episodes? A polish so to speak? I've always assumed there was more that could be done for Episode 3.
