"I would like to thank Norman Castle for his help alphabeticizing with this list, saved me hours.... " S'alright. Glad to help in some small way.

Oh, your list has various entries like:
Figure it out: fair shares/Picture box: the great fish of Maui
Do you want them on one line as they come, or would you like them separated at the / e.g. :
Figure it out: fair shares Picture box: the great fish of Maui
If you want the second way I can do that too
Edit - I've done it both ways, just to be sure.

"I reckon to sort the list out into programme order will take me about ten hours work! "
Or I can cut & paste it into Excel and sort it in about 2 seconds.
I'm sending you a private message with the list.

So he's known here? Known as a hoaxer, or real?

Do you know if the Katy Manning interview survives?
Any list of which NW clips will be shown at the event?

"Does anyone know what the picture quality is actually like?"
According to Wiki : "pictures from these tapes are very poor - indeed, the Sony and Shibaden reel-to-reel tapes are monochrome only "
Still, better than nothing.

Talking of Nationwide footage, there was a discussion recently on a Doctor Who messageboard about a 1973 interview with Katy Manning, wondering if it still exists.
Has this been recovered from the tapes? Will it be shown at the event?

They experimented with recording TV signals back in 1933. However, they couldn't actually play back the recordings. It wasn't until 1990's that the earliest recordings could be decoded and played back. Here's the world's earliest TV broadcast that survives: www.tvdawn.com/silvaton.HTM

Before they went missing, I mean. I'm sure nobody on this forum is hoarding copies of missing episodes. I'm too young to have seen any of the grown up drama episodes currently missing. But I did see several children's TV shows currently missing. I was a regular viewer of TISWAS, Swap Shop, Saturday Banana, so I've certainly seen some missing episodes of those. I probably saw the 2 missing episodes of The Adventure Game, and certainly saw the Paul Darrow one (which I understand exists, but in poor quality) I also was a regular watcher of Star Turn/ Star Turn Challenge. About half the episodes are missing. Not sure why this doesn't get the attention it deserves. So what shows have you seen? Did you watch the missing episodes of Doctor Who, or Z Cars? Do you have any memories to share?

Do any detailed plot synopses exist for the missing episodes of various shows? In particular I'd like to know what happened in the missing episodes of Callan.
I've seen a lot of sites with 2-line descriptions of missing Avengers episodes. Anything more detailed? Less interesting than Callan, but still would be nice to see. I can't even find 2-line descriptions for Callan.
How about other shows?
I've already got detailed Doctor Who, no need to tell me about that.
