Hi, on many other message boards I've used I can subscribe to threads I've posted in. Then I can go to the User Control Panel and see if any subscribed threads have new replies. Does this exist on this board? If so, how dod I do it?
Also, you might want to think about making the new thread button a little bigger. I had trouble finding it the first time. Just saying.

I know this is an old thread, I hope I'm not breaking any rules by raising it. But I see the OP is still an active member and might be interested. The trouble at t'mill sequence from The Spanish Inquisition episode is a parody of a (then) popular and well known TV series Inheritance starring Michael Goodliffe, John Thaw and James Bolam. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inheritance_%28TV_series%29

Would it not be possible to use satellite technology, or something similar, to "retrieve" these signals? I don't think anyone's said this. Those TV signals have been travelling outwards at the speed of light. In order for the hypothetical satellite to catch them, it would have to travel even faster. As far as is known, this is impossible. Suppose we made a breakthrough tomorrow that allowed the satellite to travel at 5x light speed. Suppose that we could get it ready for launch immediately. In that unlikely scenario, it would take the satellite 12+ years to catch up with the signals. If it then sat in place sending back every signal it received, it would take those signals 62 years to reach us. Don't hold your breath waiting for it.

NYTNOCN was originally made as a series of half-hour episodes. Then later re-cut into compilations. The re-cuttings changed the material. Some sketches had cuts. For example, the gramophone sketch originally ended with Mel stepping outside the shop to meet wife Pamela, who has had similar treatment in the record shop. This is cut in the compiled version. www.youtube.com/watch?v=dSINO6MKtcoSometimes they joined two different sketches together. The hospital bed auction and the suicide jumper were originally two different sketches. www.youtube.com/watch?v=7S19_CD1fGc&feature=relatedI've not seen the original versions since their first TV broadcast. Every time I've seen NTNOCN since then it has been the recut version. Do the originals still exist? If so, how can I get to see them?
