Neil Megson - `Maybe they could, er, broadcast it on the BBC ?'
Well whent the two Dads Army episodes turned up about ten years ago (`Operation Kilt' and & Sgt Wilsons....') they screened one of them on BBC1 or 2 before releasing them both on a DVD compilation. I thought that was a fair compromise as casual fans could at least see one of them whereas the enthusiasts would be sure to buy the disc. I wouldn't hold your breathe for `Underwater Menace' 2 though!

Isn't Marco Polo the only "snow" the first doctor encounters out of the missing material? I believe he staggers to the Tardis through snow in TP4.

Well that's interesting, there's also what looks like a very scary Jon pertwee in a frilly shirt throwing youths over his shoulder as he often did. And who's the man who seems to be in some sort of base hand to his face with the tardis in his eye? He has a look of lesterson to me. You can almost pick out the doctor who stuff from the rest of the clips because it has its own look similar to the Invasion episode one. Something about the way the eyes move. And slightly more real world than the other bits. The one with the Lesterson name badge?

Looks pretty promising...although those speculating on the Hartnell animation should probably be more concerned with why Pertwee looks like an underage kid attempting to dress older to buy booze

I believe he staggers to the Tardis through snow in TP4. Only Ben and Polly appear in the sequence. The Doctor is seen leaving the Cyber Ship and then next appears in the TARDIS control room.

There is a player just under the first paragraph. Ah, thanks, my crappy work PC running Internet Explorer doesn't want me to see that, for some reason..! Your PC might not be a problem at all. I had Internet Explorer and its performance continued to get worse until it finally became useless. Nothing would load on it.

On the other hand now you've released me from my stupidity I'm more happy with what I see.

I quit using internet explorer years ago in favor of firefox and have never looked back. I am fairly lucky that I can install whatever browser I prefer at work; my other half has to use internet explorer or nothing at work, which is unfortunate.

It's been back in the archives for almost eighteen months and, unlike Air Lock, didn't have almost 30 seconds missing. Perhaps someone who saw it at MBW in December 2011 can advise on the condition ? I expect that it's all been cleaned up and VIDfired by now.
I'm not convinced that it would be suitable to show on BBC3/4 as an incomplete story would be fairly meaningless to Joe Public.
My view, as I stated on a previous thread, is that 2|E could well be looking at animating the 1st and 4th episodes.
However, as I hope we all realise, there is no chance whatsoever of Paul or other members of the high esteemed RT spilling the beans until Dan - he who must be obeyed ! - Hall has made an announcement as to the release date. When that happens Paul will update the RT website.
Rather than speculate further here it would probably be more useful to contact 2|e/Dan Hall and see if they're forthcoming.

Maybe cos it's crap and they're trying to see if anyone forgets about it eventually...? Seriously that serial just rubs me the wrong way. Why couldn't it have been Power or something. *grumble grumble no coffee this morning grumble grumble*

I really can't stand Zaroff, so seeing another 25 minutes of him isn't my cup of tea.

You're of course correct! The only other time I can think of Hartnell in the snow would be 'The Roof of the World'.
