isn't it also the case that the BBC aren't interested in getting it back?? part of this is due to the poor below broadcast quality that some of the material survives in. (like the clip of Hendrix on TOTP) but also cos they don't really care that much. And they're even less likely to care now TOTP2 has ended.

Yes exactly. The problem is the official BBC line though, which is that they care about getting this stuff back. They don't and thats what the others here are really getting at.Any copy is better than none if you want something back.

Hello TOTPHEAVEN
I'm sure the answer to this question is going to be no but if you don't wish to reveal who you are or how you came to be in possession of the Xmas 69 edition is it possible to make this edition of the show available in complete form on the internet?
I know it would make fans of the show (myself included) extremely happy/grateful.

William. The Part 2 you mentioned is presumably 'Pop Goes the Sixties' which was shown on New Year's Eve 1969 ? This was a separate show and was not considered to be affiliated with TOTPs. This is well known and exists.

Actually, there were two Xmas TOTP '69 editions AND Pop Goes The Sixties. The latter was a new year special and has no connection with TOTP other than it is in a similar style and re-uses a Marmalade clip from the Xmas day TOTP show!
