As always time will tell whether the rumour is true or not. While it would be fantastic if true, I will work by the adage that I will believe it when I see it. That is a much easier plan to live by.

Well, quite. But FWIW: 1) It has been suggested on GB that one of the posters who are currently posting about having had the return confirmed by an unimpeachable source is a well-known hoaxer living in the north of England. . The same was implied about Web and Enemy sources. Look what happened there.

I can see it's possible to have predicted both as guesses,. Utter nonsense.

Stephen, if you actually read the context I said that in, I only stated it as a possibility, I don't think that is the case but it is not impossible, there were rumblings about Enemy/Web that entire year (along with Polo which he dropped suggesting he actually knew the truth). I'm not sure when he made his statement about a Power animation but if it was after that trailer, well it's not hard to guess. I agree that "lucky guesses" probably aren't the case but when it comes to a case with no evidence but from a man with a good reputation you have to cover every possibility you can. Let's hope he's right, it's certainly a distinct possibility but I simply won't bite into it without evidence.

Ladies and Gents,
Just a reminder to keep it sane. Generally we don't allow discussion of rumours here after what happened a few years ago. The reason is that the mention of a rumour, with specifics could scupper a genuine return which may still be being negotiated.
Why do some people not understand this?
Let's show some restraint. If you have something to add to the discussion which moves it along, by all means post. If all you're going to do is speculate, don't waste everyone else's time. I've almost deleted this thread once already so tread carefully.
And Happy New Year!
Paul

The only reason people are giving this the time of day is because it's a reputable resource, I hope like me people will ignore this person until proven correct the next time if this is false asit will damage his reputation. But I'll stop rambling now like Paul requested and forget about it unless the BBC confirm it or proof is shown.

All it does is discourage those who may actually have gained genuine info about a missing episode recovery from sharing it. Which leads us all open to the hoaxers and trolls if genuine sources are frightened away.

It did, for all we know. Perhaps now that this topic has been fully explicated, we should all sit back and wait, like the man says.

I'm not convinced removing posts is a good idea @paul Vanezis. It's the sort of action that can start even more rumours.
I've already had a message asking why my post was removed..

I'm not convinced removing posts is a good idea @paul Vanezis. It's the sort of action that can start even more rumours. I've already had a message asking why my post was removed.. Your post was removed because it added absolutely nothing to the discussion i.e. you ignored what I said. Some of you seem to be blind to the message in the Doctor Who section about rumours. You should also know, if you post here often that we don't allow people to post about EBay auctions because the added publicity can drive up the price for those bidders, such as Kaleidoscope who wish to acquire the material. The majority of people respect that and don't discuss it or post links. As for blaming the fans Steve Neve, rubbish. I'm pointing out the issue and letting people decide what direction they want to go down. But this is an unsubstantiated rumour, weak, no substance to it and despite what people are saying it isn't coming from a reputable source. It's just more hearsay. The person who started this thread is new to the forum and is just repeating nonsense widely reported elsewhere. So let's not stoop to that tabloid level. In the unlikely event anything comes of this, I'm sure there will be plenty to discuss. In the meantime, think carefully about what you do post because three years ago this section was a disaster area, and it won't be going that way again. Paul

We're actually in a fairly unusual situation because we're pretty sure that there is one missing episode out there-Web 3- which, apparently, has a good chance of coming home. Have we ever been in that situation before?
