Hello guys - I recently found this footage. Don't think it's been seen for 51 years? It was on South Today in 1966. Some behind the scenes bits and an interview with P&D from when they filmed their underwater piano sketch... www.facebook.com/BBCRadioSolent/videos/1185099368276823/I think the swimming pool was Worthing, hence the Worthing reference from Dudley Moore. I couldn't find the script for the piece with any further details. Hope it's of interest - I rather enjoyed their interview. Richard Well, how wonderful to see that! Very disappointed with the C4 show and being a stickler for getting the best out of film, I was very disappointed with the quality of the transfers. It's clear from the poor quality of the muck that a much better quality transfer could have been achieved. I think despite their claims it had all been seen before hadn't it? But this interview is an almost perfect transfer! Paul

Out of interest - Where is this footage being recovered from? Looking at the Facebook profile there have been a number of interview clips uploaded recently which may be of interest to people. Are these recent discoveries or just finally archiving and digitising material that was already known about?

It'd be wonderful if, somehow, the Southern material survived and got archived, the way that Channel TV have been doing over the last few years...and I wonder if that's been finished?

I requested permission to work on a project to digitise some of the film archive here. It's been a real pleasure and I have plenty more to share in the coming months.

Brilliant. As funny without a script as with.

Imagine them around now with Peter Cook in a wig doing Theresa May and Dudley as Corbyn or Peter Cook on Question Time )) Next time C4 should let Chris Morris put together a doc with all the archive
