I used to listen to the organist entertains from 1987-99 the show was shortened after that to just 30mins Only read it quickly,Rich,didn't realise it was you.(Or did you use a nom de plume?). I've got a reel-to-reel of (don't laugh) 'The Organist Entertains'.Never been able to play it-no recorder,but I think episodes are missing.But would the BBC be interested? Mind you,I think there's a fan website...

He most certainly did in the autumn of 71 it was on one of my many reels Cat Stevens/Formations too then top 20.Englebert was on the same reel too prob end of October 71

Conquistador was 1st recorded in 1967 it was on the lp back then called Procul Harum American copies had Homburg on it so the 72 version i think was rerecorded

Type Popscene invision in google I was lucky enough to get several POTP (Fluff versions) from the late sixties in a batch of reel to reel tapes on eBay several years ago (plus some from a work colleague) all from 1967 - 1973. Does anyone know of a way of accurately dating the shows?. Obviously you can get a rough idea from the records played, just wondering if anyone knows of a site that goes into detail.

Hi John just seen your post i wonder if the Summer 72 two hour edition is the one you refer to with records by Dave Clark/Friends or could it be one i lost from Sept 72 Cliff Richard Living In Harmony as opener no 30 in chart!
