I like all the comments about difficulty. It speaks well of how solid the production staff was at this point.

I might have a better understanding of season 2 later this week after I receive episodes 9, 11, 12 and 13 from Amazon. I will then have all available episodes in the season. I have the Crusade on video.

My favourite is The Time Meddler. I love Peter Butterworth's impish Time lord. It's almost like the first Doctor encountering the second Doctor. And the whole story is such fun and I can watch it anytime.

"The Dalek Invasion of Earth" for my money. Let's not forget that it was this serial, more than any other, that cemented the Daleks popularity in the public consciousness...

Season 2 is very difficult as there are many outstanding serials throughout the seasons but my favorite is The Chase, I love the fast paced energy throughout the serial, the bitter sweet farewell of Ian and Barbara, Steven's introduction with his little stuffed toy (not to mention his silly moments as a southerner on the Empire State building), the cryptic Mechnaoids and the bloodthirst drive of the Daleks to wanting to kill the Doctor. It was a very enjoyable serial and added a lot to Doctor who in general. It also had the Beatles of course!
The Time Meddler and The Rescue would be my second choices, the Time Meddler is an amazing serial and I agree so surprised The Monk was only used in two serials he was a excellent Character.
Watching Doctor Who in order and Just finishing up Season 3 right now, I watched the Gunfighters last night and going to watch The Savages reconstruction tonight and The War Machines this weekend when I can find where I put the DVD!

I'm just a big Dalek fan myself so what else could I vote for than Dalek Invasion of Earth! Shame the Daleks weren't more advanced looking like those of the Chase but we get some creepy looking Robomen roaming the ruins of London in search of survivors! Zombies of the 22nd century get to the back of the queue!

The Chase. A wonderful, fun romp. Probably my favourite Dalek story.

"The Dalek Invasion of Earth" will always rate highly for me. Daleks invading a deserted London is one of *those* scenes that stand out in the memory. Great spectacle.
