I'm taking a bit of poetic license here, considering as I didn't make the Season One poll. But it is a month old and some excellent discussion was generated.
I genuinely don't know what to pick, either Planet of Giants or The Web Planet.

Love the hilarious Romans-Hartnell being mistaken for Maximus Pertullion and his silent harp playing,Barbara and Susan being sold as slaves and Nero's maniacal stare as Hartnell's Dr gives him the idea to burn down Rome!Very enjoyable and one that I always look forward to watching again.I think this narrowly beats Dalek Invasion of Earth which is still wonderful and a very ambitious production.'We are the Bastards of Earth!We are the bastards of Earth!'

Actually,I love them all.The only one that creaks significantly is The Space Museum which as Rob Shearman so rightly says doesn't even have the good sense to be wiped!However,it's not as awful as Edge of Destruction and it does have a superb first episode which has the novel idea of working the narrative backwards as the Tardis crew try to figure out how they got into that situation in the first place!.It's a shame that the other 3 episodes let it down so badly.

The Time Meddler for me with The Romans a close second. I always thought the other stories in this season were a bit slow.
Still very enjoyable though. I think I've just watched them too much.

I voted for The Web Planet--I love it for it's spookiness and sheer ambition. Best watched episodically rather than in one lump, I find. I also like The Romans a lot. I suspect that The Crusades would run them close if I could see it complete.

Web Planet is superb,but I'm aching to watch the Crusade animated-I've got the CD audios but I think that this is a great serial that deserves to be enjoyed visually,but because I've become spoiled by animations I couldn't bear to watch the missing episodes any other way!

Actually,I'm surprised The Chase hasn't received any votes as it's a very enjoyable serial,and although it doesn't have the gravitas of DIOE,it's still quite an ambitious story,one which would have been mooted as a film adaption if the former serial had done better at the box office.Not to mention the whole cycle of potential stories that can and have been made of Ian and Barbara's return to Earth at the end of the adventure and their subsequent lives afterwards.

DALEK INVASION is really scary and a great story. Did not like the movie version which was bad and silly. I'm just wondering what THE CHASE been like if they continue the movie series.

Here we go again.
The Time Meddler for me. Great first pseudo-historical and villain. Wished there was a bit more of the Monk in the show. Outside that, the Dalek Invasion of Earth (Susan's departure being one of the greatest scenes in all of Who) and The Crusade rank high up with me.

I was on the edge between time meddler and chase.
I voted for Chase because it's one of my favorite hartnell dalek stories because of the variety of the different locations and subplots

Silly me picked The Rescue. I don't know what it is about me and the Underdogs. I liked the potential in The Rescue. Dalek Invasion had suspense and Time Meddler great plot, but Rescue just seemed to me like a fascinating story that needed one or two more episodes to expand on the themes a bit.
I picked Edge of Destruction last time as well. Though that seemed to do better than Reign of Terror. When the Season 3 poll shows up I don't know what I'm going to do. That's my favorite Hartnell season.
