Yeah, he plays Solon like I imagine he would have played Professor Zaroff. Philip Madoc must be rolling in his grave.

I love Philip Madoc's portrayal of Solon-he just about gets there with some of his lines, fluffing them almost but that just seems to add to the immediacy and freshness of his acting as well as the frenetic pace of the story. An absolute classic!

I've been listening to the Brain of Morbius in the car this week, and the echo effect they've put on Morbius's voice makes it almost inaudible. I'd be happy with just straight reading... The Abominable Snowmen classic novel CD is one of my favourites, it's read by David Troughton who does a great job. Can't imagine Tom Baker voicing Morbius, surprised they didn't get the guy who did his voice in the show to voice him. (If he's still alive of course) Can't remember who it was at the moment... Think it was Michael spice.

Tried "Scribes of Gum" and "Doctor Who Scribes of Gum" but nothing. Closest one is "Doctor Who Target Books" which is a closed group. Incidentally, a "Doctor Who Missing Episodes Discussion Group" came up in my search. I'm guessing no one on here is also in that group? I dread to think what sort of libellous comments are running unchecked in there. Or am I doing it a massive dis-service?

I'm a member of the Target Books group on Facebook. There's not much trading going on there.

Don't suppose you've got spares for Power, Underwater Menace, or Space Pirates...? Thanks. Sorry John - don't have spares of those I'm afraid. Is Space Pirates quite hard to find now? I remember in the early to mid nineties when I was starting my collection that that was the one book that every store I went in always had. It was uncanny - even if they only had 2 Target books - 1 of them was always Space Pirates!

Ok but thanks anyway. No sign of Pirates on ebay at the moment and not too keen on the Amazon options which seem to either very expensive, poor used copies or available from the USA for some reason. No doubt perseverance will pay off or I let the moths out of my wallet!

There's a copy in NM condition for sale on the Who One website for £15 (plus postage). Dunno if that's in your price range but they've always been great to buy from with mega quick postage (usually arrive next day when I order from them).

No idea why it's not coming up - it's open will log on via PC and sort it out today. In regards to the FB missing ep group I joined only four days ago. Apparently both Mr. L and Mr. M are both members.
