I hadn't quite heard the story that way. I don't know - none of it makes much sense, really. I think we just have to assume that PM would have told us if all hopes of Web 3 being recovered were lost. Richard The very fact that no news of a WOF Special Edition DVD release has even being mentioned, mooted, planned or released prior to any animations of other stories is to me a strong indicator that PM is still in negotiation with the individual(s) who took episode 3,and that there is a good chance it will be returned. Animating a single episode wouldn't be hard and put the story to bed but that hasn't and that makes me very hopeful that PM is as he has always said that 'he's on top of the situation ' as far as getting it back is concerned. Philip Morris has always said that the animation is a BBC business decision and nothing to do with the status of the real missing WOF episode 3.We still have to allow this particular cheese to mature.Gorgonzola obviously...(which you must try as it's absolutely delicious!). Well, another year goes by.
This is also the time when I religiously re-watch Enemy of the World and Web of Fear, and try not to think too nasty thoughts about whoever has WoF part 3.
Anyway, I wish everyone a very happy Christmas, or whatever it is that gets celebrated on whichever planet you currently inhabit (we have to be *so* careful these days), and continued hope that the next time I bump this message up the bulletin board that we have something more to celebrate.

I can't say I'm optimistic, although previous pronouncements by Paul and Phil mean that I'm willing to believe that some missing episodes remain in private hands. Whether we'll ever get to see them is another matter entirely. |

Recoveries would be the best thing ever, but realistically I hope that we can get more animations now that there is money coming in from Disney for the streaming rights outside of the UK.
I have thoroughly enjoyed the hard work that the team have put into those releases.
