Following on from the thread 'Shameless star reveals which missing episodes we can expect', the source of the condensed list of recovered episodes has finally spoken up and had this to say on Amazon Discussion -

Mr. D. Threlfall says:
Good grief i go away for the weekend and come back to my resume posted all over missing episodes. Com and get mis represented on there as an actor of the same name. Good grief what's up with them. I am not the david threlfall from shameless but am a david threlfall. Some fellow on missing episodes spoke some sense of knowing an accountant called john lennon who was not an ex beatle. Apologies to ssorg if i've mis represented anything you've said on here mate i've altered my resume post that caused so much consternation to reflect what you said on your earlier post. I'm going back to sleep now regards david threlfall (not the actor)

I'm still not convinced this is not the actor, based on what I've been told by others in the industry. His dialogue is very suspiciously Frank Gallagher sounding. He may be in denial or this may be a stunt. However I realise that this is a great opportunity to get to the source of this '90 missing episodes returned' rumour and expose the blighters. Therefore I am going to contact David via Amazon Discussion in the hope of unravelling this mystery through the offer of exchanging 'gifts'. My first step has been to send this message in the hope of a reply -
Dear Mr David Threlfall,
I would like to politely enquire if you (as an actor within the television industry) are able to furnish any further knowledge of the 90 missing Doctor Who episodes that have been found simultaneously across the globe in time for the 50th anniversary of Doctor Who, particularly with regard to any imminent DVD releases.
I see that you have an Amazon wish list. I would be more than happy to purchase one item for you in exchange for being brought up to date quicker than you can say Bleeding-cool. For example I am willing to purchase for you the following –
When The Boat Comes In : Complete BBC Collection 24 Disc Box Set DVD.
To be exchanged for any information regarding release date of Tenth Planet episode 4 (at BFI- NOT A MORRIS FIND).
Dixon of Dock Green DVD starring Jack Warner. To exchange Jack Warner for the address of the contact (NOT PHILIP MORRIS) who is in possession of Dalek Masterplan Episodes 11 & 12 (stuck together and need a freezing process to try and un-stick them and may be salvageable if this can be achieved). I am more than willing to offer the services of my fridge freezer to whoever it is (NOT PHILIP MORRIS) who can't seem to get the films unstuck.
I look forward to your reply and in the meantime offer my sincerest congratulations for your excellent portrayal of Frank Gallagher in the hit series Shameless.
