Muriel young ,she was in my opinion one of the greatest tv producers in history, her work at Granada tv from 1968 until 1981 seems to have been forgotten ,not very often at all is the lady mentioned anywhere at all these days ,she produced nearly 400 editions of pop shows and countless other kids tv shows ,yes to me Muriel young is a lengendary lady.

An NME from 1963 mentioned that Ron Grainer wrote the theme tune for the 5 O'Clock Club which was entitled "Eagles Nest" by a group called "The Eagles" I have searched on YouTube for this but can't find the song...I then came across this website and it had this... www.televisiontunes.com/5_O_Clock_Show_(The).htmldoes any forum member know if this the "Eagles Nest" theme tune?

criticism of singer Patrick Dane who appeared on the 07/01/66 edition of the 5 O'Clock Club View Attachment Slightly unfair criticising him for chewing gum, given that he was covering a Lonnie Donegan song...Seriously,anyone know what he'd have been singing?

Nice one John! I've had a look to try and find out which song Patrick Dane sang on the show, but no luck. meantime, here's a picture of Craig Douglas who was a guest presenter in May 1965

I see that the Artwoods appeared on the Five O'Clock Show on May 20, 1966. Do you have any details or know if any recordings have survived.
