I heard Jerry Lee Lewis toured in 1963 & hired a young Dave Peacock as bassist long before becoming a duo with Chas Hodges, though they knew each other from the early 60s onwards.

I heard Jerry Lee Lewis toured in 1963 & hired a young Dave Peacock as bassist long before becoming a duo with Chas Hodges, though they knew each other from the early 60s onwards. Actually, it was Chas Hodges - bassist with The Outlaws (and later, Cliff Bennett and The Rebel Rousers). It was only later that he became more known as a pianist.
