We just have to hope more prints marked for destruction were picked up by collectors and that they still have them somewhere, although getting the word out in Australia and New Zealand might be harder than here in the UK. Why do you say "harder"? Believe me, "the word" is "out" in both countries.

Here in the US I would want something like ABC evening news to do a fluff piece on missing bbc film ... and advise people to check their crazy grandparents' attic. But that's asking for WAY too much.

Don't know if this has already been asked, but are the two episodes of the underwater menace from the same country and if so doesn't that mean the remaining two episodes have a good chance of being out there somewhere??

Episode 3 was already at Enterprises in 1978. Regardless, if they were both from Australia (as the discovered print was) there is no way of telling. It's just like any other episode, we have no idea at all if they exist - the odds are just as equal as anything else.

Was a clip from episode 3 not used on an early 1972 ish episode of ‘Pebble Mill at One’ featuring Pat Troughton! So ended up at the film Library after use!

I found that! Although it was on a shelf at the BBC so technically just mis-catalogued. Identified from the TX date by the ever vigilant David Stead.

Bless the person who put (2011) in the title. I hate it when this thread randomly pops up.

I was talking about Pebble Mill at One. Underwater Menace was returned by a film collector...

I love watching Troughton interviews... It's like watching an eccentric uncle, or Rik Mayall... So naughty and mischievous.
Funny... He seems to have more existing interviews than existing episodes!

Doctor Who News says that Airlock is still in the process of being restored. I thought the two episodes had been restored already and were shown at a screening. Is there still touch up work to do with Airlock?

Is there still touch up work to do with Airlock? I know the end of Airlock has been reconstructed and synched to match the audio recently, however it could be re-done again since then, you never know how little or much work is put in sometimes until a release is announced.
