To all people posting on the above subject. I no longer work for Carlton Video - I resigned from my position in September 2001. I have and never did have any influence in Carlton's release schedule. I spent a lot of my time going through the archives looking at materials for the DVD releases I was working on (both ITC and the Rank Films archive). If you'd like to chat to me further about this please contact me via my email address - jaz_wiseman@yahoo.com Thanks jaz www.itc-classics.com

Jaz. I sincerely apologise for winding you up. No offence was intended (you know what Marty Feldman does to people ?) I personally think you would have been a great asset to Calton with your stirling work on reviving interest in people involved with their old products as well as the superb work on the websites.

There are 16mm prints of this series changing hands. I've seen one, it was variable, but saved by Spike Milligan. Very much made with an eye on the American market. Opening titles pure Terry Gilliam.

I remember one that could be said was pure ITC ;D
it featured a white jag driving into the car park of an office block ie ATV elstree (shado HQ etc), where Bob Todd as security guard proceeded to rip it to pieces.
(this is from memory so could be all wrong)

I used to watch 'Feldman Comedy Machine' back in '72 on the American Broadcasting Company. I assumed then that It was authentic British TV, in spite of the American guest stars and American accented announcer. And what we got was cut down to half-an-hour.With irrelevant American stand-ups added. And sometimes It was pre-empted for a basketball game. But I felt I was seeing the Goon show on TV, and I was disappointed to see It end.He redid some'1948' material on this.I was all the more excited when Python broke in big here, because MY kind of British TV show was back-with a vengance[and so was Marty, in 'Young Frankenstein']
