Hi Laurence
Like I've said already, the list is too long to go into here without repeating what I've put in the db. As you can appreciate there are a lot of ATV/ITC/Central holdings we have had to check and change lol.
The new ITV Drama Guide will have all the changes in it, and it will be an e-book so it will be a lot cheaper than the old Guides. I recommend you buy it and have a look mate.

I'll certainly be placing an order for the electronic version of the books.
I knew that Court Martial holdings in the ATV archive were in question, although these should still be sitting in Universal's archives in the U.S, so all is not lost, but the cost of releasing the series on DVD would now I imagine be very prohibitive. Unless anyone can talk Universal into releasing them themselves.
I have quite a few of these, around half the series, as 16mm prints, but the originals were 35mm. I'll make an effort to get them all cleaned and transferred when time permits.

I'm very glad there are people like Tim around who are far more conscientious than the copyright owners of the material are!
No, we don't expect you to list lots of individual series, Chris. Can you though say if the junking practice ceased with Polygram and if the current owners are more careful? Cheers.

Yeh the new owners do seem very conscientious though I think the moving around of central stuff seems to leave the location of some stuff in doubt.
I'm optimistic that the stuff will turn up in one of ITV's vaults. Lots of collections are just being split up around the country too much now.

No one seems to know! Conflicting stories seem to surface regularly. These range from the odd individual edition turning up to whole boxes of editions on t/r turning up during the seemingly ever-lasting audit of the ATV archive. I'd like to know myself too.

Slightly puzzled by your remark Laurence.
We know exactly which Sunday Night at L P were found in Bob's collection and that footage is listed in the Bob Monkhouse book.
As for the wider context of surviving shows, every one has been catalogued meticulously by ATV/ITV now and a list is available:

It does Chris, thanks. Presumably each VTR / TR number refers to a complete edition (except where indicated that it's incomplete)? There are no dates on these though so no indication at all of which era most of them come from.
Not so long ago there was a thread here about the ATV audit and it seemed to still be ongoing with no one seemingly knowing the results of recent findings. That's cleared up something anyway.
While on the subject of updated ATV holdings, does Spyders Web survive complete or not? Just a yes or no will do. Cheers.

Spyders Web holdings have changed, ie neg or pos etc, but they all survive.
The audit does still turn up and lose ATV stuff but the majority is now catalogued.

Christopher, Thanks for letting us know about Spyder's Web - I hope that Network get round to releasing it. The other series that I am very concerned about is Virgin of the Secret Service. I would like to see that released one day (if it still survives?) Any information about how to order the e guide to Drama Series? I am puzzled by your 5th of May post. Are you saying that some of what once survived is now lost but it could survive after all but have been moved to another vault? Many thanks for all your help.

Hi Ian
When the e-book is ready to order we will publicise it of course and send out the link.
The answer to your other point is - yep. Just as everything seems nailed down and sorted I get emails saying things like "we've found another vault". Raven was in Los Angeles apparently, and ATV/ITV over here didn't even know it existed, but ITV International did cos they held the lists of overseas material.
It's a messy and fluid situation, which is why the holdings are changing every year lol.

Hi Christopher,
Many thanks. And Virgin of the Secret Service - good news or bad news or I'll just have to wait.

Christopher, many thanks for the info on the Palladium shows, i gather he was a huge fan of Bob Hope, if his apperence was in bobs collection, he would have had the only copy of Buddy Hollys performance...would be nice..

To avoid the cost of ntsc conversion if no one in America wanted to buy it? And how do they lose a vault? Because the previous owners didn't keep the paperwork of all the dealings and contracts? Who would have been paying the storage fees all these years? A bit off-topic but will all KAL guides be Ebooks from now on? Is an Ebook like a big PDF file? Thanks.
