I wouldn't mind having a few Double Your Money / Take Your Pick on DVD myself, as I used to watch them a lot! Being Rediffusion shows, there are obviously not that many; about 5 or 6 DYM (including the first show), I think, and about the same for TYP (all held by the BFI), mostly these are from the '66 ' '68 period. I was told once that Palan (the Rediffusion rights holders) have some more editions that are not listed as being in the BFI archive. I've no idea if this holds true or not.
Remember the DYM theme song and animated titles featuring caricatured versions of the hosts, Alan? I still do!

There has been a lot said about Hughie Green since he died. I expect he could be nasty with his fellow contempories in TV, but as for the public he always treated them with respect, never mocked them or tried to knock them down (as Brucie would) if they were getting a bit carried away. He must have been an alright employer as well to take Monica Rose and Audrey whatsit with him from DYM to TSTL?
I wonder if Southern has any editions of Wheel Of Fortune left? out of the 50 odd made and a chance to see Michael Miles in colour , who was much missed after his early death.

Yes i'd love to see these shows again incidentally my late uncle's third wife was originally married to Michael Miles and i was told the boxes with the numbers on that were used on Take Your Pick were given to her but she is no longer alive now and i don't know what happened to the boxes although i'd like to have them myself. Who knows maybe the prizes are still inside.

Off the top of my head
A Take Your Pick was shown on TV Heaven 1992
A Double Your Money was shown on BBC4 circa 2004
The DYM was amazing; from 1955 featuring a couple in their eighties. Amazing to think they were born two centuries ago. They talked about Queen Victoria etc.
I imagine they are as rare as rocking horse poo given the fact they were light entertainment and the history of wiping that.

I've always wondered about The Sky's The Limit and Wheel Of Fortune too, Peter. I can recall them quite well but never saw any in colour as we still had b/w for many years after that! I think all that exists of TSTL (YTV) is a filmed special, if I recall rightly. I don't think a single example of the regular studio editions survives. I think the same is true of WOF. Was that a Southern programme? I had forgotten who made it but, if so, the chances of any colour material surviving by that company from 1970 are very remote, i'd say. What a shame these two series by well-known TV personalities have been effectively airbrushed out of TV history.
I think a few Criss Cross Quiz editions survive though. There is one on VT hosted by Barbara Kelly from around 1967 or '68 and i've seen a clip of an earlier t/r with Danny Blanchflower presenting. I'm not sure if there are more but, being Granada, i'd take a wild guess and say a handful. Does anyone know for sure? I wonder though if anything survives of it's younger offshoot, Junior Criss Cross Quiz?
The very first edition of Double Your Money (1955) was screened as part of TV Heaven although it hadn't arrived at it's most well known format with Monica Rose and catchy theme song yet. I don't think any complete Take Your Picks have been repeated in recent years although an At Last The 1948 Show compilation screened in TV Heaven did contain a very funny spoof of this series (The Nosmo Claphanger Show), which had John Cleese in best Nazi-style browbeating contestants!

Ironic too that Denise Coffey's hilarious pariody on DNAYS is the closest we have to The 5 O'Clock Club!

There is also a quick blink and you miss it visual reference to Orlando in one of the Do Not Adjust episodes on the dvd. People watching it now that don't remember these series will not get the joke. Ironic that the parodies exist but the thing they are parodying generally does not!

There is a snatch of TYP and Muriel Young anchoring it in the farce movie Dentist in the Chair (maybe Dentist on the Job? cant remember) with Bob Monkhouse. The plot involves Bob trying get a new toothpaste on TV.
Lawrence yes Wheel of Fortune was in colour for the network , produced by 'little' Southern TV. It was having a break during the winter of 70/71 when Michael died. Anglia stepped into the slot with SOTC and of course the rest was history.
Alan fascinating stuff about your relative.

Thanks for the info, Peter. When did Wheel Of Fortune actually begin? Was it with the coming of colour to ITV in 1969 or slightly later? It could only have lasted for about one series before Miles died though. I remember at the time thinking that it had sadly ended almost as soon as it had started. Probably the only colour TV footage ever shot of Michael Miles and probably not one second exists!
