Just a small bit of info here about the final ever edition of lift off with ayshea for archive listings of this show ,whilst at Kal the credits of this edition rolled whilst him and us danced to Abbas so long ,and I noticed that when showaddywaddys name came up on screen in brackets underneath it said courtesy of bell records which was something Granada TV did when a clip or promo were shown,which means that showaddywaddy didn't actually perform in the studio hey Mr Christmas like I thought

Great article and pic of ayshea and of course roy wood william ,i think because ayshea and roy were so close ,that is why he made so many apperances on lift off ,as far as im aware ,he appeared on the show on at least 8 different occassions. Ayshea also appeared in schoolgirl uniform with Wizard on Top of the Pops when they were performing See My Baby Jive once, sadly this edition no longer exists.  |

Great article William on the feet on lift off really interesting read about ken martynes work on the pop show ,the lovely Vicky shellard on the PIC worked for Granada on MurielyYoung's pop shows on and off for ten years ,she was a dancer with The feet on lift off ,zig zag on 45 and the TSD's on get it together.

“I couldn’t believe it when I found out. Apparently Granada TV was transferring them to digital and instead of getting rid of the three tapes that were repeats, they ditched the 141 originals. It’s heartbreaking. The 141 episodes of Lift Off With Ayshea, the must-see 1970s pop programme, were lost in a digital transfer error, robbing the singer and presenter of a fortune in repeat fees. I’m just hoping that there are some tapes somewhere in the world and Sunday Express readers can help me track them down.Do you have a copy of any Lift Off TV shows, or know anyone who does?
