Ah.So she was named after She.(Eh?).I read Haggard as a teenager.Several in the 'Ayshea' series: www.goodreads.com/series/72235-she Don't know if I'd name a little girl after her, since her full title is She-Who-Must-Be-Obeyed! A wonderful film too from the Hammer studios (1965), you won't see that on TV though, the P.C brigade wouldn't allow it.

With the number of channels in program mags today they don't do detailed descriptions of shows like that any more (unless they are featured "shows of the day" on another page).

You're right Brian, although I would say that it's usually sods law that the pop music programmes from the 60's and 70's that I'd like info on i.e. Dee Time,All Systems Freeman,Discotheque etc usually had next to no info about the show at all in the newspapers.

hi thanks so much steve for these rare shots of t rex on lift off with ayshea set ,I for one have never seen them before ,but I can tell its definitely taken from the lift off studio because the lift off background scenery is the one that was used in the season of late 1973 episodes ,thank you once again.

Regarding the conversation we had some time ago on here about wings performing at the Granada studios in 1973 with Helen wheels ,in the beatles diary it says that wings performed live at the studio on dec 19th 73 to perform Helen wheels ,but the show was recorded usually either the week before or a couple of weeks in advance ,so that would have made the date of them recording the show either the 13th dec or before ,also ive just had a reply from ayshea brough on twitter and she said that wings didn't perform live on lift -off ,so it must have been a film of the song they showed ,I was thinking what a great line up of guests that show would have been if wings were on the show live ,it would have had t rex and paul McCartney at the same time in the same studio, the kiddies in the studio audience that day would have had a good story to tell.

It's quite possible that the film that is on the McCartney Years compilation was shown on Lift Off - but just as conceivable that a specially shot film/animation (Granada did this for many shows, LOWA ,45, Shang a Lang, Marc, as examples) was shown.

A Land Rover would have been fitting, as the song was written about one Macca owned & considered it to be "Hell On Wheels" due to it's rough handling.

I asked ayshea if she could remember any of the dancers The Feet performances from lift off ,hoping she might be able to add a few songs as im trying to get some info on what songs that the dancers performed on the show, but all that she said it was usually something out of the top 10 that week ,I don't really think that she could remember.
