I have a friend who is a TV director, and who, amongst other things, did some work for various middle eastern TV stations, with whom he still has contacts.
I gave him a quick overview of the situation with the missing/destroyed film reels, and he said he'd be happy to use his connections to make enquiries if I thought it a good idea.
Now, here my knowledge ends. I'm presuming that some countries have been checked to some degree, but in others it hasn't been possible. It's also well within the realms of possibility that this chap might have an 'in' at an otherwise inaccessible station overseas.
Any information you can give me would be useful. This director friend IS a media pro, and not just some fanboy who'd be calling up and bothering people.

I wish some people here would learn to post in English with correct spelling and punctuation...

Okay, that's a start, Iran.

Okay, that's a start, Iran. Marco Polo is the only missing story known to have been offered to Iran. There's no actual evidence to show that they did screen it. In fact, it's not impossible that the 2 eps sent there in 1967 were sent back to New Zealand unscreened... Jon Preddle

Okay, that's a start, Iran. You might want to hurry on that one, though. Things are heating up over there.

Yeah, sounds good to me, though it'd be a bit of a bugger to sit down to start watching 'em and get the two-minute warning though. Protect and Survive: "Take all your Who episodes to your fallout room" (though often my living-room is a "fall out" room if I commandeer the tv to watch old b&w 60s telly)

Jordan apparently had a lot of UK programming. I have a colleague who grew up there and remembers programs like "Mind your language" very well!

If that won't change her mind, nothing will. Nope - nothing will. We both grew up in a era when all local TV was broadcast in B&W and she still has the same attitude. These movies have been on TV god-knows how many times... Actually, that's not strictly true - she's South African so there was no TV there during her younger years (TV began there in '76 and in colour). But when I was a nipper - TV was all B&W and only on one channel...

Oh. I thought she was one of those I-won't-see-movies-and-tv-shows-before-I-was-born types. My bad.

Well, I've yet to meet anyone who has watched something before they were born but I guess anything can happen... ;D
Seriously though... believe it or not: many of us here are a bit longer in the tooth than some might think. We're not all young, inexperienced teenage/twenty-somethings...
