I found it strange that the Day of Armageddon man didn't return it during the BBC's Treasure Hunt. Perhaps he lived under a rock? Treasure Hunt wasn't particularly well publicised on television, so there's no real reason why he should have been aware of the campaign. Richard

I suppose it's doesn't make too much sense spending a lot of money advertising a Treasure Hunt if there are no guarentees that anything will be returned (or anything of commercial release value). However, I think it's about time the BBC did another Treasure Hunt and marketed it a bit better (adverts on the TV, banners on their BBC sites, BBC News coverage, BBC2 repeat season followed by a heads up after each programme etc.). It's clear that there is a lot more missing material out there (in general) that the owners don't realise is missing. Ideally though impratically, they should set up a finder's fee.
Imagine how much material would surface if the BBC promoted it as well as they did Doctor Who (2005)!
