:)Is there any collectors out there with any missing Dr Who episodes? If so why wont they give up the missing episodes. Is it because a collector spends quite a lot of time and money acquiring these lost episodes and wont get anything back. Or is it because they want episodes that no one has got and this makes the episodes in there collection valuable. Or is it that we will never find any more missing episodes
Regards
Dennis

Ive got Tenth Planet 4 and Power 1-6 along with Evil 1,3-7 and I think Web of Fear 2-6 stashed away under the stairs. Think I'll dig them out and watch them tomorrow then stash them away again! ;D

Chap who returned DMP2 had no idea it was missing until he had a look on the web and found out. Or is it that we will never find any more missing episodes That day will come some time. There is only a finite amount of stuff to find. Maybe, even, we're at this point today...? Some episodes are gone forever, and there's diddly sqaut we can do about it...

All the audios and scripts exist. We've just got to wait for technology to catch up, and one day we may get an exact reconstruction.

I've been looking for a post I saw on the missing episodes forum several months ago. It was from a regular and well known poster on here who stated something about collectors that still had material including the lost sci fi. I was really suprised at the time that no one asked about that or anything else was said. I don't want to name names or cause anything but I've always been curious about that. I mean what sci fi was he refering to? Is it a definate no that the collectors refuse to give it back? Or is it just nothing at all? I've been looking back through several posts to try and find it but no luck yet.

Come on guys - do you really think someone out there knowlingly has a stash of Dr. Who episodes and yet no one has seen or heard of them?
It may be possible that someone has some missing episodes and doesn't know it -- (such as the gentleman who had Dalek Masterplan (2)) but there's virtually no chance that rouge fans are hoarding episodes.

Did'nt say anything about rouge doctor who hoarders. I just mentioned a post I read a long time ago on here and was curious about it since it was from someone well known on the forum. And yes it is possible that collectors keep what they have. Why would'nt it be? Why would it be so hard to keep secret if someone had an episode of Doctor Who or anything else for that matter? It's been kinda quiet lately but there has been quite a bit of things turn up on ebay from collectors that evidently knew they had missing material but still put it on ebay for the highest bidder. I'm not saying there are things for a fact but you can't say that there are not for a fact and no one may ever know for sure.

This is what I tend to think as well. Not everyone who keeps / collects material is an egotist and has to advertise their rare prints or tapes. Some may just have possibly worked in the industry at some point and quietly taken stuff home (DW and otherwise) and that is where they are happy for it to stay. No big thing at all. They don't mix in the fan world either and so we'd just never know!

'but there's virtually no chance that rouge fans are hoarding episodes.' Rouge fans?? You must mean someone with red cheeks?? How about 'rogue' fans ?
