I confess I'd lost my interest in goons for a while, having heards all my tapes too many times, but this recording, however distorted has had me in stitches again. It would be fantastic to hear this in true beautiful sound quality, however, I fear the original source to be an open reel tape, having decayed throughout the years this will have such a narrow band of frequancies that it will never be of a suitable quality for public listening. I have tired to restore some recordings I own on open reel tape, but I have only managed a second rate transfer. To find the tape source though, would be a start, and I believe there are ways of returning the missing frequancies via computer. Oh, it would be nice to hear it properly, its one of the best i've heard.

Hate to put the mockers on it - but looking at the duration 14'55, I think it may actually be a Telegoons soundtrack rather than a radio Go On Show. Hope to be proven wrong! All the best Jim You are. It's the last half of the radio show. Currently doing the rounds as an mp3.

I too have a Hastings Flyer, and the 1985 missing ep (complete). What quality is yours? I'm always looking for better copies.

I don't know about the quality because I haven't listened to it because I think The Goon Show is awful, but I recently acquired a lot of episodes ( see here) because they were listed as missing or edited on the BBC Treasure Hunt, but no one seems particularly interested.
