How much could you leave? And does it have to be rare Dr Who? And what does this have to do with the "missing episodes" theme?

I've already done something like this. I've just had a new garage built, and have hidden in the roof space a little packet, carefully sealed up, of four compact discs containing two Dad's Army radio episodes, two ISIHAC's, two radio Hanock's and two Beatles albums; 'Rubber Soul' and 'Revolver'. I've no idea how long it will be until they are found, as I sealed them up inside the brick wall!

its a shame that TOTP footage that was in the 1971 time capsule for 2000 was alreadt in the archive as existing (17/06/71) as it could have been good if it was another week....
cleaned up and played on TOTP2 (when it did exist)

I also sealed secret stuff inside the garage wall, Gary, but sadly no rare TV or radio footage.

Well I hope you have more luck with your discs than I'm having, Gary; I've been putting my comedy stuff on cd for several years, and now a fair few are useless. I used to use computer discs when I had my first (Hi Fi) recorder. Many of these are now less use than coasters. Several proper audio recordables are now doing the same thing. I'm now having to put everything back onto MiniDisc, none of which have EVER failed.

Are there still any time capsules that are buried/hidden etc that we know about?

Didn't Blue Peter put one in just last year?

I remember wathing Blue Peter a few years back (early to mid 90's) and someone had found a "time capsule" in the wall of a house. Inside were various things and 2 rolls of movie film wrapped in brown paper. Then back in the studio the Blue Peter woman unwrapped one of the rolls of film and pulled out a few feet of film and held it up and looked at it under the hot studio lights. At the end of the show we were told by voiceover that only one of the films survived. I wonder which one? I think the other film was footage of a Royal procession from the turn of the century, or something.
