It is Feb, or Jan 70. A lot of clips from the existing editions from then (Edison lighthouse, Dave Clark five) have been shown (BBC). I think one of the prog bands was shown briefly somewhere but think it was Blodwyn pig. One of the U.K. gold repeats had Atomic Rooster who are very similar (same genre and similar appearence). I tend to half think you may be right, but can't put my finger on where the clip appeared. I did make a point of regularly taping TOTP2 on timer from around 1995 on, but missed some. I copied the bits I wanted then wiped the originals. atomic rooster was july 1971 i think on uk gold.

Fair track listing but they should have brought out volumes for each decade. There isn't enough from any one period. Sure, not much is around from the '60s but there's definitely enough for a volume on it. I worked out the criteria for it though was one track for every year from 1964 - 2004. Theres even less officially if, as I hear some of the archive editions have incomplete soundtracks. Reportedly DJs, but I thought a way to restore them might be to hire a DJ sound alike i.e. impressionist Phil Cornwall to work out whats being said and redub these sections. In fact if we counted the clips which are circulating collections outside with the official, theres a fair representation for the 60s now. The material represents Hendrix, the Yardbirds and others previously missing. Notable acts i.e. Dusty Springfield and The animals are still missing but whats known to be about, (not generally available) is now much more comprehensive. I'd like to see copies returned, enhanced and released, but clearences for music items are a major obstacle. Unfortunately most of my 70s memories; (Bridget the Midget - minature Pans people dancer), Lindisfarne in Monty Python tank tops, wellies, a french revolution style hat, with foam fist banging a drum, Terry Dactyl & the dinosaurs with a beach on stage !, Roxy music 'Pajamarama' with rotating Batman style angles, Chicory Tip in space suits & a grasshopper outfit for 'Good grief christina'); remain missing & are the greatest lost personally to me.
