Dear Mike There ARE two seperate TOTP performances of "Teenage Rampage" I got them from the chap who advertises in "Record Collector" (J. Cunningham in Brighton) Keith Badman did some checking; they source from it seems; Andy Scotts own collection. Very! nice condition. The other Sweet stuff. The group I think did perform in ZDF's studio these. I'll check my tapes to confirm. Formerly ASM computer glitch Fred The Ferret

Dear Mike Another quick reply. Blockbuster is the same one as the video release and elsewhere. Of the other performance I only have about a minute of it in B/W and down many generations - again from J. Cunningham (Brighton) I doubt it would barely copy. There is also rough footage of the group on Granadas "Lift Off" in 1974. Fred The Ferret.

Thanks Fred/ASM, Fantastic news that two 'Teenage Rampage' from TOTP have turned up. I've only seen the Musikladen performance before. I'd absolutely love a copy of these but whenever I ask for something usually it ends the thread... If you fancy mailing me, I'd willingly do you a 3hr tape full of goodies just for those two performances. I'll send you an URL to my massive list of videos. Anyway I'll stop begging now! Regarding the third 'Blockbuster'. Years ago I'm sure I saw a b&w clip of this on TV somewhere but have never managed to get a copy. I'd also love to see 'Funny Funny' or 'Alexander Graham Bell' from TOTP turn up. You can mail me on atomic23@cwctv.net Wonder if this kills the thread. Hope not!

Dear Mike/Atomic Have sent 90 min tape with what you want on it; plus some `extras` which I think you'll find of interest. I will send you a list of a few things I have culled from your list of music items. It's not extensive as I have most on your list, but a few choice items have been chosen. Cheers! ASM

i think Keith Badman commented here that he had definitely found two different clips of Teenage Rampage in overseas archives. so that one is around somewhere. i would like to see Funny Funny turn up. Yes, well Keith Badman seems to be rather long on talk and short on action. Despite various nags at him for months, he never posted his "Disco" list (of TOTP clips) and thankfully Mr ASM has provided the same, so a big thanks to a.s.m (whoever he is) for that. The list is good too, as far as I can work out, as all my DISCO TOTP clips (not a full collection) are on there. Are there any further details of the "DISCO PICKUPS" clips (namely WINGS and HURRICANE SMITH)? The latter is presumably "Don't Let It Die", but the former? Surely you watched (ahem copied) the tape before returning it, so do you know what the songs were? Cheers, Steve

Dear Steve ASM here. I posted titles of both clips more than once on other parts of the forum, but I don't mind repeating. The Wings is "Mary had A little Lamb" TOTP with mock farmyard set. I gave FULL description to Keith Badman for his BEATLES book. Hurricane Smith is "Who Was It?" again TOTP . I played tape using monochrome set first. That way you can tell if a tape carries a pulse without trying to copy first (Try It!) And who pray do you think Mr Badman received the list of DISCO/TOTP clips from? I actually shelled out 90DM per tape buying each individual DISCO show in full. Legally I had to return it as it WASENT "Disco Pick Up's" but another compilation they sent by mistake. I have Informed the B.B.C and they are "Hopefully"! taking it up with ZDF. That's the honest truth, I swear to it! ASM

Dear Folks Glad Clive could back me up. YES! if you play a tape using a portable B/W telly you'll see two horizontal lines every few seconds proving a pulse. Anyhow onto other matters; now that i've helped Mike (Atomic 23) Here's something I hope will help those of you looking for higher generation clips of Sweets "Teenage Rampage" TOTP (Two different performances) PLUS the very first TWO appearances of Queen on TOTP "Seven Seas Of Rhye" These are from someone who has long advertised in "Record Collector" Magazine His address has changed over the years. The latest and most recent was in R.C No 268, it is J. Cunningham 9 The Linkway, Brighton BN1 7EJ
He charges per length of tape. I wish you best of luck. ASM
