You ever wonder why some missing serials like the Space Pirates or the 35mm prints of The Power of the Daleks Episode 6 and The Wheel in Space Episode 5 were junked instead of being given to the BFI? Had that happen, Troughton's last season would be complete.

You know, both Galaxy Four and The Dominators were supposed to be junked in 1977, and while Galaxy Four was junked, the prints for the Dominators were given to the BFI by Enid Mawson. Why didn't they also donate the surviving Hartnell prints to the BFI like they did with the Troughton ones?

I'm assuming it was when they were junked and who was there?
My understanding is giving them to be bfi wasn't an approved procedure at the time.
Thankfully much was turned over to them and exists today. Season 6 likely would have had a low survival rate otherwise

Why didn't they also donate the surviving Hartnell prints to the BFI like they did with the Troughton ones? Because the BBC didn’t “donate” material at that time. They weren’t allowed to. What Mawson did, she did in error.

Yes, but I wish the prints for Galaxy 4 had also been given to the BFI, but it looks like whoever was working in the BBC Enterprise Archive was responsible for disposing the prints. Too bad Pamela Nash was the one who junked those prints.

Question: Why didn't BBC Enterprises give their DW prints to the BFI? Answer: because the receptionist was dottled that day and sent the prints to the FBI. 🦁👍

In the interests of leaving no stone unturned, has anyone been in touch with the FBI?

Only the Celestial Intervention Agency 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 After the Toynmaker "trouble" can you still call that "Celestial!? That’s a load of brilliant speculation, it’s clear that the usage of the term in DW was related to the astronomical meaning.
