It's kind of like Joseph Furst's claim to be getting residuals for The Underwater Menace from "Outer Mongolia", the fanzine editor assured me this was merely a metaphor. Kind of.

Thank you Scott. It was a simple question because I was curious. Ah interesting, I figured they were paid something just curious because I would think the BBC technically doesn’t have to pay them Genuine question or not, it's got absolutely bugger all to do with missing episodes, Scott, and you know it. It's a question about actors being paid in relation to the box sets. And again - for the cloth-eared who didn't hear in the first place - 'how much do you reckon they get paid', is nobody's damn business. You wouldn't want anyone poking about in your wage packet ( if you even work, Jake) to found out 'how much' you get paid, based on their reckoning. Someone lock this pointless out-of-place thread, or, based on Simon's sane suggestion, I say stick it up Out of the Archive's a***. Then we can move on to something that might bear fruit in the ME hunt. Andy, every time I have to moderate something on this forum, it seems to be you causing the problem. If you can't behave, and treat other posters with respect, I'm going to have no choice but to kick you off the forum completely.

I would also remind Andy yet again that he is not a moderator here and that he should refrain from telling us which threads to lock. This is not up for negotiation.

Actually, I think it is relevant in this sense: are the actors paid for the recons if BBC sells them? How about the animated missing episodes? It is tangential to the main point of the board, but I am interested and am glad it was asked here.

Would be easier to find this forum if on the main page than a sub forum

Wow, are you ok Pal? This isn't a good look for you. The user was asking if actors still got paid if, for example, their audio was used on a reconstruction, it's an interesting question about missing episodes.
Jake, stop coming on this forum with 2 user names. It isn't a good look for you.
Funnily enough, I'd imagine Jake is laughing as much about that post as I am. But I don't know for certain because I'm not him.

,.... otherwise he will continue to have a laugh at our expense, indefinately.. Im wondering if there is a trend.. where you're concerned about people laughing at others? I get the concern.. and I'm sure it can hurt. i was laughed at when younger, but as i got older,i recognized those who ridiculed others, were the little people. I learned that their opinion was not going to define my identity and decided that my focus was to be the best person i could be and to seek out the people i could make meaningful connections who care. While i respect protecting those that are hurt.. if we are creating battles that we see, that may not be there, or unintentional, we can make matters worse and make ourselves look bad. "Blessed are the peacemakers .." This is a private site, which follows managements rules. We may not always agree with them, but we have to respect how they run their site . I'm open to working with you, so that you can build as part of the group and communicate more effectively.

They laughed at Einstein, they laughed at the Wright Brothers…
But they also laughed at Bozo the Clown….

Na it looks like nobody uses that page. I’ll just accept the abuse thanks It would seem the spaceship has landed, or rather perhaps, in one of life's ironies, this thread has now landed in it. Presumably because as has been suggested, although the thread has some connection to missing episodes that connection is a bit slight or tangential. But I wouldn't worry as I'm sure plenty of us look to see if there's anything new in this section - and I know I do. The general lack of traffic in it is probably just that people come to this forum for missing episode stuff rather than more general Who stuff; so have less to comment in this section as they go to other sites for the more general stuff.

This thread is still going haha I thought it was locked or deleted. I really don’t have the interest in making multiple accounts for a Doctor Who missing episodes forum haha so I can confirm I am not you

As this is about how they make dvds that include missing episodes, so it seems appropriate to me From a usa perspective, i knew an actor who appeared in a 60s tv show and would get his small( under 10.00) check which was barely worth the postage. Since the 80s, actors here who have successful shows have often been able to generate more meaningful royalties. Often today, even with music, it's the publishers that get more than the artists. To me, as most are now dead, it is more important to keep their legacy alive than tokens checks to relatives creating a situation where it might stop releases. Today there are shows in copyright limbo that many will not be able to appreciate. To Andy. I hope there was something you felt we share in common that brought you here, and were open to being friends with you, but if you desire to fight or correct, it normally doesn't engraciate one to others. I hope you're open to being happy with us, but if not, your own sake, would it make you happy to hang with people you like? Thanks George this interesting

I respect the moderators choice to move this post but you’ve kind of backed down to Andy and his inane comments. I would argue that you shouldn’t enable people like him but like I said I respect the decision

I would argue that you shouldn’t enable people like him but like I said I respect the decision TBH, I'm not sure how we've either backed down or enabled Andy? We've moved the thread to where it should have been in the first place and warned Andy to have a think before posting.
