Are the Classic Doctor and Companions paid royalties/ residuals for the episodes that are put on Britbox or Blu-Ray?
I would assume it obviously wouldn’t have been in the original contracts.
Also how much do you reckon they are paid to film extras for the boxsets? I’m guessing very minimal

And what's your point, in relation to missing episodes?

And what's your point, in relation to missing episodes? This includes the actors from the missing episodes in regards to any clips or audio being included in the Blu-Ray sets. Also interested if the original actors get paid for the animations?

Still at a loss as to what this has to do with missing episodes. And I'd have thought how much actors get paid is none of our damn business.

Yes, never better - just at sea with the purpose of your thread and the way you seem incapable of explaining your point for it. I'll leave others to pick up the baton at this point.

Genuine question: what on earth has gotten into people lately? I've taught classes of 12 year olds with better decorum. If you think there's something wrong with a post report it and move on.
Yes actors are entitled to royalties on projects they worked on. This is standard across the industry and even if the technology didn't exist back in 1963 that doesn't mean the BBC (or any other right holder of any project) is just allowed to do whatever they like with the material.

Thank you Scott. It was a simple question because I was curious. Ah interesting, I figured they were paid something just curious because I would think the BBC technically doesn’t have to pay them

To be fair there's a reason by the Out of the Archive board exists - it's a question about a release and ought to belong there

It's a question about actors being paid in relation to the box sets. And again - for the cloth-eared who didn't hear in the first place - 'how much do you reckon they get paid', is nobody's damn business. You wouldn't want anyone poking about in your wage packet ( if you even work, Jake) to found out 'how much' you get paid, based on their reckoning. Someone lock this pointless out-of-place thread, or, based on Simon's sane suggestion, I say stick it up Out of the Archive's a***. Then we can move on to something that might bear fruit in the ME hunt.
