Going back to Paul judging the mime contest for a sec, am I just being cynical or is it fairly obvious that the winner was chosen on the basis of her overall appearance rather than her miming ability?

Having watched that segment dozens of times over the last few months, I do believe that she did perform the best.

Does anyone know the sequence where the stones mime I’ve got you babe is included on this dvd? I remember this fun sequence but it’s not mentioned in the contents.

It’s listed as MIME TIME for the 10th September 1965. It’s a shame more of the skit stuff from RSG wasn’t saved, this sequence is about the only one: the 1965 Xmas Panto would be a riot to see today.

What does 'waiting on stock' mean? Chris is on holiday now, returning on the 7th. I'm not sure if that's holding up any further announcements.

DVDs arrived today! Haven't watched anything yet, but I'm impressed with the presentation.
This came at a perfect time: Last night I saw The Manfreds in Folkestone, and the show started with a booming voice (probably Paul Jones off stage) saying:
"Ladies and Gentlemen, it's Friday night and The Weekend Starts Here... please welcome, The Manfreds!!". This was followed by Paul Jones looking, moving and sounding like he did in 1965, launching into a note-perfect '5-4-3-2-1', the former theme tune to RSG!. It's the best show intro I've ever witnessed.
