When the bumped knuckles at 2:18 (ish) it got me wondering how much of the site visits, review, etc. stuff was done pre-covid. You mean the Behind the Sofa shot with Katy and Stewart? They're not bumping knuckles, they're knocking on the thick perspex screen between them. Chris' feature, The Direct Route, was done pre-lockdown. Everything else was after.

But then again, I often do! Cripes, shows how long the social distancing's been going on.

No way am I shelling out for this again just for 23 minutes of wonky animation. Greedy Auntie! The telesnap recon on the first release is perfectly adequate. Had they paired this with Underwater Menace with the missing episodes animated than that might have tempted me. I'm not usually so cynical about such blatant cash-ins but this... well they're just stealing urine.

But you will also be shelling out for comentaries ,info text , photo gallery amd hopefully a makng of documentry .whilst i had problems with the power of the daleks special edition i will deffinetly be buying this on day one (and maybe if this release is a sucsess they may attempt the underwater menace and even the crusade)

Two animated episodes of the Crusades would complete Season Two which could/would facilitate a box set release.
Surely that has to be a fairly high priority? There are telesnaps of episodes two and four.

Agreed - I think they seem to be focusing on Troughton for now as the animation teams they are using have the artwork more or less in place for him and most of his companions, so it's potentially cheaper and quicker I guess to get more sets done. But I am with you there chaps - would be great to get some Hartnell stories animated, but mostly get any of these 6 seasons ready for release on the Blu-Ray sets! Season's 5 and 6 look most likely to be first I would say with just 1 story a piece ("The Wheel in Space" and "The Space Pirates" respectively) not being confirmed (or strongly rumoured in the case of The Abominable Snowman) as yet for animation. Could see them tackling those next (after Web, Evil and Abominable), then that just leaves 2 Troughton's to go from Season 4. Amazing to think we could have all those great stories brought back!
Random question, does the audio exist for that Feast of Steven episode in DMP? I have it my head all the audio's exist for the missing episodes, but just had a thought that this was such an unusual episode of the the series, not sold anywhere else, maybe it might not be stored.

You’d think that Snowmen could be done with WoF3? Sort out animating the Yeti for the latter and you’ve got a start on the former 👍

Yes it does RhysH. It's included in the CD releases and Loose Canon included the episode in their recon many years ago

Nice one! Just a random though that entered my head as it's an unusual episode! Cheers for confirming!

There are telesnaps of episodes two and four. Well of course it has been previously postulated that because ‘The Crusades’ is now encumbered by certain (retroactively applied) ‘issues’ it *might* deter the BBC from animating episodes 2 and 4. Or at the very least impede proper restorative treatment. A completely unsubstantiated speculation of course but one that, in the increasingly surreal times we live in, isn’t entirely without veracity one suspects. That said, I’m not seriously implying the Beeb would outright withhold the story from a future hypothetical release, just that they would perhaps have to tread a bit more carefully doing it!

About time we had a war on socially aware imho!
I’m very pleased I’ve got a pile of DVDs that can’t be censored 👍
