Same here, The Lion was the first full episode that was discovered since I had become a big fan of Dr Who, & I had almost given up hope of any more than a few clips being discovered.

Missing episode enthusiasts Paul and Tim think they've hit on a Varga-ood idea: tracking down lost TV signals in outer space… After they've tackled that thorny issue, they set about a more realistic goal: reviewing the Season 3 one-part story Mission to the Unknown. Mission acts as a trailer for the forthcoming twelve-part epic “The Daleks’ Master Plan” - but does it do its job? Is the Doctor-less experiment successful in its own right? And can Paul and Tim keep track of three characters’ names in a 25 minute piece of television drama? This time they are joined by Andrew Ireland from the University of Central Lancashire. The driving force behind the wonderful 2019 live action recreation of the story, Andrew brings his deep understanding of Mission to the team's discussion of the story, and adds a host of insights into the virtues of 1960’s TV production methods. In 2019, Andrew also appeared on our good friend Richard Smith’s “Something Who” podcast and gave fascinating testimony to the production of the UCLAN project. We highly recommend not only revisiting this podcast first, but also Richard’s review of the story which features all manner of Delegatory delights with author Jac Rayner (plus a couple of voices which may sound familiar). They can be found here: Andrew Ireland on Something Who Jac Rayner (and other super-special guests!) on Something Who Three Varga-ood podcasts for the price of one! (Oh no, we've done that joke) If you enjoy this podcast, we'd love it if you shared it on social media to help us find our audience! I enjoyed a rewatch of the recreation prior to this link below: www.youtube.com/watch?v=NW8yk-m5Ig8Thanks again Rhys! Positive comments mean a lot and we take on board any negative ones. It's quite a lot of work so anything in that regard is much appreciated! And yes, it occurred to me after I'd published that I should have put the link to the recreation in there too. D'oh! We had a lovely chat with Toby Hadoke the other night about The Myth Makers, so hopefully episode 7 will be along soon...

Nothing negative that I can think of - really enjoying them and the nice mixture of guest appearances from different aspects of the missing episodes - e.g. finders, animation and so forth. I saw your comment on YouTube that some didn't like the opening skit's but I think they are a nice intro! Keep it lighthearted!
Great to hear that Myth Makers is almost there - one I really wish would be found - certainly a popular one with the fans!

The last one for a wee while... sit tight. “Beware of Greeks bearing gifts!” Unless, as it turns out on this occasion, the gift is comedian and sixties Doctor Who stalwart Toby Hadoke, all lovingly gift-wrapped and ready to talk. It doesn’t take long to become apparent that Toby and the team are cheerleaders for the much neglected “The Myth Makers”. And there's plenty to say on the subject, from it's semi-historical originals to its status as the first full-blooded comedy in the Who ouvre. It's also the first Wiles-Tosh project, where bawdy high comedy and bloodstained tragedy go hand-in-hand. Does such a mix make for a successful Doctor Who story, or is it all too much? If you're unsure, open your mind and let Toby persuade you... After the team have finished eulogising they put on their Missing Episode hats and turn their attention to the country that once seemed to offer the best hope for Myth Makers and its season 3 brethren: the much debated Sierra Leone. If you've ever been confused by the ongoing and rather twisty narrative of out-of-contract repeats, shelled TV stations and Morecambe & Wise hiding in a derelict cinema, their analysis should set you straight. On top of which, there may well be a rare update-ette from one of the top bods in the Missing Who field! What's a Grecian urn? Who cares, the Missing Episodes Podcast is free, so what excuse do you have not to listen! If you’re bored of Paul and Tim, Toby comes in at 2 minutes, 45 seconds. Missing episodes stuff is discussed at around the 55 minute mark. If you enjoy this podcast, we'd love it if you shared it on social media to help us find our audience! Tim is on Twitter @drwhopodcasters, Paul @mrpaulmorris and please do come and like our Facebook page. Listen on podbeanon YoutubeOr on itunes!

I’ll stop updating this now as all the ways to follow are set out above, if anyone’s interested.
Thanks for the kind comments and likes and please feel free to get in touch. DMP is in the works but it’ll be a few weeks.
Here’s to more missing episode returns!

The Myth Makers is my favourite Hartnell serial. Web of Fear is my favourite Troughton. Both were missing, so perhaps now that the latter has been found I might just get lucky :-)

Definitely not! In my case I don't get a chance to get on this site or to listen to the podcasts at the weekend with a lively 2 year old tearing around the place, but when logged in for work during the week, I'm all over these! Have to agree with you all - Myth Makers is right up there on my list of hopes to be recovered. Fingers crossed we can get an animation version in the future when they are nail down the artwork for Hartnell as per Episode 2 of your Podcasts! On that subject, I'm really loving the work those guys are doing on the animation's for the missing stories. Hope we hear what the next project will be soon! Look forward to our first cliffhanger ending in Part 1 of DMP next time out!

I've been enjoying these podcasts. I'm much looking forward to DMP and The Massacre being covered. The Troughton era is my own favourite though so lots more to come I hope.
